What conversation?

You'd post something idiotic, and the rest of us would tear it apart.

Some conversation that is.

Dude, you have to create an alter if you want to troll. Everybody knows that.

Really you missed your chance. You should have created one like Zoomie and Eitje did when the HF crew arrived. There was so much confusion going on then that by the time they pulled out we're left thinking that Sakhi and DaisyMae are both real people instead of alters. I'm still not sure about Daddy either. My gut tells me all new people are alters, but he still hasn't posted enough for me to get a fix on which one of us he really is.

Anyway yeah the point is we know you too well. You should be pleased that we aren't falling for your "Look at me. I joined the Tea Party Express. Show us your birth certificate Mr. President" tomfoolery. Even if you act the fool, we know you're smarter than that.

It was only way zoomie/eitje could publically announce theyre crushing on you without being called gay...right?

Thats not true, apparently Im an alter.

Sorry Dave. If Dylan posts something that comes from inside his head to support his point that isnt just ignorant gibberish, then maybe.

And socialising something (say healthcare) is not the same as socialism. No one is going to any gulag because they can now get medical care without the threat of bankrupting themselves.

I'm curious how calling people on bullshit makes you cynical.

Granted, I might be cynical.  But pointing out people's strawmen or shooting down statements that have neither a basis in reality nor in some sort of rational though process doesn't make me cynical.

It WILL bankrupt some ...

Govt: We want to nationalize healthcare ....
... ok, we nationalized it
... it's financing is simple; YOU'RE paying for it or we fine/imprison you!

Perhaps... but you can thank your congress for how fucked up the bill is. Dont blame the legislation, blame the people who wouldnt compromise, and then tacked on last minute amendments to the bill.

Anyways, it's gotta be paid for by someone.

Probably the way you are funding it is all wrong. You (collectively) can fix that, you know.

1.5 cents per dollar earned is all it takes, collected every payday by the taxman, put into a big pot marked America's Medical Expenses. Simple.

Yeah, but your lawmakers know better...

Pushing medical coverage onto business to manage is a stupid way to go, as GM, Ford & Chrysler all proved. But if it didnt work the first time, surely the next time will be a sucess.

No. Fuck that. EVERY infotainer on Fox tears down EVERYONE who doesn't support their agenda and the agenda of the GOP. Spend an hour there and you won't miss the point. I might not agree with Tom Coburn but if he wags a finger at Fox they've certainly earned it.  Fox is not a always bringer of truth, they ARE a "beacon of bias" to use O'Reilly's own words.

I dislike making up cute words to fall neatly into the meme, but in this case I make an exception. O'Reilly, Beck, Limbaugh and their counterparts in liberal media are not "Commentators" or "News Readers" they are INFOTAINERS.

Yeah and the fact of the matter is that Fox DID make claims that failure to purchase employee health insurance will result in hard time in a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. Liberal fact-checkers produced a clip montage which to my annoyance I can't find online. So once again O'Reilly is just bluster and steam.

Listening to Diane Rehm on NPR today, a caller in Baltimore pointed out that if employers drop employee coverage after the new system is implemented they get fined $750.00.

If they were subsidizing employee coverage to the tune of $250 per month, that's a $750 one time fine per employee dropped against annual liabilities of $3,000.00.

$750 vs. $3,000 per year.

Yeah, I did the math. We're fucked.
