Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

To prove I am a total geek, I love this song. No idea why, just do.

Well she is damn sure cute.

Thank you! I watched Wreck it Ralph and finally got round to watching Shawshank Redemption on there.

You are welcome Nitya. Welcome to the world of movie piracy! I could teach you a few tactics for downloading these types of movies free to avoid the dreaded "buffering" screen.

No registrations required!

PM me I'll tell you how. I have found that I can download a half to a dozen movies or shows in less than 30 min. Free of charge.

Of course the more people who know how escalates the measures to prevent it. Still working for me though, sometimes it isn't quite straight forward.

Captchas on some sites are a pain in the ass but seldom prevent me from acquiring my intended download.

Once the movies/shows are downloaded you have way more control over them, especially when using the VLC media Player. And no buffering!

But both were better than that crap mosh posted.

Well, that's the point of an earworm, innit? It may not be good, but cunts, fucking cunts, fucking cunts, fucking cunts....

Yeah but that fucking devil voice shit is done. Nobody wants to hear that shit. You would have to actually listen to it for it to become an ear-worm. That shit sucks so bad it is un-listenable.  All of it, pure fucking garbage.

I understand it may still be popular in OZ, but that shit is finished.

Eh, I don't mind it occasionally; it's a lot of fun to play guitar (or bass) to it ...

I don't like downloading movies, I only ever stream. I usually just google it and it comes up fine but that particular site you posted is mighty fine.

I've been listening to loads of Horrible Histories recently. This is one of the best shows I've ever watched.

I'm torn on this one. It's super popular, so the sixteen year old version of me wants to hate it automatically. Plus the artist seems to be trying to be the epitome of douchebag.

That said, it's fucking catchy. It's definitely an earworm, because it gets stuck in my head every time I hear it. And the video does have certain redeeming features.

Okay an article that sums up the video.

Also, this paragraph in the link you posted kind of undermines the point the author is trying to make:

Quote
The stunning model (who I wouldn't recommend looking at unless you're ready for a dramatic drop in your own self-esteem)

So wait, she's a feminist but believes women's self-esteem should be based on, or at least affected, by how attractive other women are? Um, what?

Anyway, she goes on...

Perhaps they could stop taking everything so seriously? Maybe they could stop focusing on unimportant stuff and worry about all the very real cases of actual sexism?

Her self esteem issues don't have anything to do with the validity of what she said about the video.

And sexism in the media is a real problem. It's all around us and whether people like it or not it does have an impact on how people behave.

Anyway I'm actually too lazy for long discussions so agree to disagree is always the best option.

That Counting Stars song has grown on me. It seems to come up a lot on Radio 1. I really dig this new Arctic Monkeys song:

Why'd you only call me when you're high - Arctic Monkeys

I also liked the live lounge cover QOTSA did.
