Ha. Fox News. No, right now I don't have television, I see things on Facebook, then look them up online. It looks like Fox is the only station concerned about the attacks and the coverups. The most transparent govt ever! Whoever believed that would happen is fucking stupid! I was always taught to never trust a politician. Thank you Mom and Dad!

Haha, yeah, that too, but we're not Catholic, so no worries there!  I couldn't believe all the people who fell for Obama hook line and sinker! Stop drinking the fucking koolaid!! They HAVE to impeach him. Too bad we don't have journalists like we had when Nixon was POTUS. Those guys were relentless.

Re: Benghazi Reply #14 on: May 07, 2013, 11:50:03 PM
Not to sound like a Neo-con sock puppet, but Obama does some sneaky shit that should make some liberals' blood boil.

Namely, his choice of Penny Pritzker as Secretary of Commerce. According to a 2008 article in the Wall Street Journal, ole Penny had a 50% stake in Superior bank, an Illinois bank which tanked and wound up taking people's savings along with it. Any savings that weren't insured by the FDIC (up to $100,000) was lost. Although Penny claimed to pay restitution for the loss, she blamed the problems on "changes in accounting practices, auditing failures, reversals in regulatory positions and general economic conditions." Really? We need someone overseeing America's economic development that blames "general economic conditions" for a defaulting business? Who could've seen buying securitized subprime mortgages as a potentially dangerous, misfit fiscal decision?

Nominating this woman is antithetical to Obama's hardline stance on risky banking practices. It shows me that he is more concerned about deregulating banking policy now that the economy seems to be making some improvements.

Obama's career is mimicking Clinton's in the way that Clinton deregulated a shitload of financial regulations (a snowball that started under Reagan) and let Alan Greenspan and his troupe of vampiric investment bankers gamble with Americans' money.

Pritzker's nomination is another symbolic gesture that says a hearty "fuck you" to anyone that's not a part of the elite business class.

BTW, a majority of you L-Gers have your ear to the rail but can't see the fuckin' train coming at you. Stop paying attention to the flashing headlines and read the business section of the damn newspaper. A sweeping majority of decisions made in the government that affect people in this country and the rest of the world deal with economic policy. For that matter, fuck the white noise about Benghazi and the "thin red line" shit-talk about Syria, the real shit is going down on the business page.

He's ruining our country. I don't understand how he got re-elected. He's a socialist community organizer. He doesn't have the qualifications to run a country. He doesn't listen to his advisors, except for that Jarrett lady.  I hate Obama and his wife as much as they hate America.  He's down in Mexico the other day bad mouthing us, his wife does the same in other countries. The deregulation snowball really started with Carter.  Carter started the deregulation of transportation and which helped to give cover to Reagan.

No substantive policy has changed from president to president for decades.  Everyone is on board with deregulation, drug wars continue unabated, consolidation of executive power continues, etc.

Reagan is Bush is Clinton is Bush is Obama is whomever is next in line...  doesn't really matter.

Actually, per the U.S. constitution, he does. All you have to be is 35 and a natural born citizen (which he is. That "birther" crap, talk about drinking the kool-aid).

Secondly, you need to re-check the definition of "socialism" if you think Obama's policies approAch anything close to it.

And last, the Republican's, in their foaming at the mouth, tend to gloss over the fact that they cut they security budget for the embassy.
http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/10/rep-chaffetz-says-he-absolutely-cut-funding-for-embassy-security/

The President (regardless of who it is) has no direct control over the budget.  He makes a budget request, but congress can approve or deny anything, just like they did.

Not to say that you don't have a right to your opinion, but you are making some sweeping generalizations. Sure, if I could correct the president on a couple of things it would be his celebrity status and the rich elites he caters to.

As far as bad mouthing America, I don't care. America's actions overseas hasn't had the best record diplomatically. I mean if you want to take into consideration CIA black sites for torturing terror suspects, drone assassinations, covert massacres of Afghan civilians, etc. All for what? So you can sit down on a comfy couch watching some ABC drama while the grease from a Double Whopper dribbles down your chin, staining the silk-screen stars and stripes navy blue t-shirt and get angry when someone criticizes the country you herald above any foreigner's life?

My point is: if you love your country, you don't throw it under the bus in god damn Mexico. And you don't turn your back when Americans are being attacked by terrorists.

My point: I don't intend to show national pride. Love of country creates a zealot, arrogant, groupthink mentality that is borderline fascism.

Mexico's problems have been a product of American intrusion. We've fucked their economy with NAFTA allowing American companies to set up maquiladora factories to ship products over the border duty-free and tariff-free while paying embarrassing, substandard wages (one-sixth of our minimum wage) to the majority female workers (see Juarez). Our loveable country has also supported previous dictatorships and contras south of Mexico's border spilling over into their southern border. Our immaculate country has also waged a war on drugs that shifted the cocaine emperor's power from Colombia to several cartels in Mexico along the border. When those dirty, stinky wetbacks try escaping from the violence or try seeking better wages across the border, our proud border patrol meets them with drug dogs and degrading strip searches. Our benign country shovels money to the Mexican government that in turn spends those resources NOT on stopping the drug trafficking but controlling the cash flow for its own profits.

Wow! What a magnificent sheet-wrap! And I've only mentioned one country that the U.S. has affected negatively!

If America was a person in your neighborhood, what do you think that person would act like based on their foreign policy?

Re: Benghazi Reply #26 on: May 10, 2013, 11:35:20 AM
Capitalism seeks profit.  Prosperity may be a side effect of that, but it's not intrinsic to capitalism.  You can have a capitalist society that is not prosperous, because some of the factors intrinsic to prosperity (e.g. health, safety, happiness) are to varying degrees wealth independent.

Re: Benghazi Reply #27 on: May 10, 2013, 11:38:12 AM
Karla_K, you've just plagiarized an entire essay from Henry Lamb.

I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with socialism as a fundamental economic tool: Workers are allowed to bargain for wages. Managers are limited in power. The symbolic system of ownership of companies is shifted from investors to the labor pool, allowing for a more driven workforce. Heads of companies, CEOs, and corporate bosses are no longer relevant, shifting power to the laborers, building identity and confidence in individuals.

Henry Lamb fails to realize that Karl Marx was referring to the Hegelian method of history. Socialism could go on for an indefinite period of time without a noticeable shift to communism; however, capitalism, as has been seen in the last decade, will continue to be incapable of sustaining a reasonable balance in the world: when great wealth is created, great poverty must also follow suit. This imbalance will also (as Marx and Engels predicted) destroy itself. People in great poverty will not live in dire straits indefinitely. Josef Schumpeter coined this historical shift as "creative destruction": out of the capitalist model, socialism will prevail.

It wasn't plagiarizm, I was sharing. Please don't think just because I hate Obama that I'm a republican! I think we need to throw out all the politicians and start over and no, I don't want the govt handling my health care. They shouldn't be telling me if I can have a abortion or not. They shouldn't tell me who I can marry and they definitely shouldn't be in charge of my money!

Do you guys remember James Carvell? Clinton's PR guy? Whenever people were all pissed off at Clinton, along comes Carvell and he would say such great things about Clinton. 100 percent team Clinton! I loved that guy. THAT'S how Obama should speak about our country. ESPECIALLY to other countries.

And I apologize for the cut and paste, I should have put the link, but I don't know about you all, but I am scarred from clicking links on this site! Haha. My bad.
