Not I. Never found him funny, entertaining or anything else.

Me either , maybe that's why he committed suicide.
Realization is a harsh bitch.

I care, and a lot more than I care about most of these. His early stand-up was great, but time wasn't kind to his style. But I always found him a far better dramatic actor than comedian, and he seemed like a genuinely good dude. Sad.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

I watched Mork and Mindy back in the day, But I always thought he was a poor choice for the role.

Hey I love drug and alcohol abuse and only have depression once and a while. Depression is no fucking excuse when you have the good life like Robin had.

Or Maybe it makes it worse when you don't have to struggle every day just to survive.

I don't know.

I can't say that I've ever really felt a strong attachment to a celebrity, so it never really bothers me when they die.

I might see it in the news and briefly think that it sucks for their family, but otherwise I'm indifferent.

He should have done MORE drugs!

Maybe it was an accident from auto asphyxiation?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erotic_asphyxiation
IE...Hanging oneself while jacking off.

Seems more likely.

Ahh the Michael Hutchance way to go...

Re: Robin Williams Reply #8 on: August 12, 2014, 09:48:03 PM
>>In December 1995, Hutchence was first prescribed Prozac by Dr J. Borham, a London medical practitioner, to treat a depressive problem.

He was last prescribed Prozac on November 1, 1997 (three weeks before his death).<<
That shit (all of that shit) will kill you.

Just ask Rach?

Parkinson's Disease got to his psyche.

I enjoyed some of his dramatic roles. And he wasn't this plastic-surgery-nightmare actor that just knew how to recite lines and look pretty on film; he was no Peter Sellers, but he knew how to liven a role. I'm not really weeping into my cuff now that he's gone because he wasn't close to me, like personal friend close. And it amazes me that nearly every person on the interwebs is paying tribute to a person that made the people who loved him miserable by killing himself.

Jesus Christ that's a fucking ridiculous stance.

And it amazes me that nearly every person on the interwebs is paying tribute to a person that made the people who loved him miserable by killing himself.

So he doesn't deserve tribute?
That was rhetorical.
Regardless of the circumstances of his death during his life he had a lot of impact on a lot of people.

I'm not heartbroken, again he was just another person I didn't know. But any suicide is sad because suicide is never generally an easy option, and to a depressed person it is often the ONLY option they can see.

Oh please with the resources he had it's easy to turn your frown upside down.  But I guess maybe if you have tried all that ...

btw I still think it was an accident from autoerotic asphyxiation
