I have scars on my tongue, biting holes through it.
Mine's from piercings. But okay!
We can be board buddies.
Hi, I'm eitje.
Don't choke on my name.
This is a scary buddy-up, indeed ...
is it an urban myth that piercings eventually cause the muscle that is your tongue to die and peel away from where the hole was.
...only we've got a crap-load of hippies sitting around right now so I thought it would be a good time to ask.
Christ.... a thousand old buggers on the boards and NOT ONE OF YOU can answer this?
Ok, the answer is "YES", however, only if it had an infection that was underlying and not treated ...
The tongue, as far as PSI/relative size is the strongest muscle in your body (cardiac tissue isn't counted in this) ...
In the cases where it "broke down", it was because there was an infection with NO sy,ptoms until it ate through from the inside out ...
Muscle is different than other tissue in the regards that it traps infection internally and can hold it and fight it within itself ...
Sometimes, it's not so lucky ...
It's a reason why Pericardits (a external complication of an infection, mind you), Carditis, and Pneumocarditis are possible in heart tissue and not in other tissues ...
Did this "OLD FUCK" (with a medical degree, mind you) answer your (young fuck) question to your liking?
