Oh fuck off Zoomie, I completely agree with the protesters. Changes nothing.
I was hoping you would post some proof that this is all controlled by "outside forces". But since there isn't any, you can't.
Now that's not what I said at all. I said a good deal of the unrest is being instigated, and you know as well as I that such instigation is a tool of the trade. (bay of pigs ring a bell) Some of todays student activism has been grown from seeds planted several years ago when the cross hairs started wandering away from Iraq. The US may have lost control over the government there but I can assure you they will still have operatives and many contacts within Iran.
There was much talk of options for promoting internal strife in Iran to soften em up so to speak around 2004. Sure only a portion of the turnout can be attributable to any outside orchestration but it will be a factor and a factor that will be implemented strategically to cause the response from the government there to be more brutal than it might otherwise have been. (again think Castro)
Gee *we don't care how many people get hurt and *we don't really care how effective *our efforts are or aren't either. If it helps move their government in a direction *we like great, if not ... Oh well, *we are still having fun. Nothing to loose.
I don't have time to try and prove anything even if such proof could be ferreted out.
But, based on extensive prior history that has already been proven the logic in the basic assumption is unassailable. Maybe in 10 to 15 years as usual, we may find out officially there was a little more to the story. Just as wtp didn't learn the truth about the Shah until well after that shit blew up in our faces.
