Title: Thread division
Post by: Drugmoth on May 29, 2009, 10:29:37 PM
Now something I'd like to see is for sticky threads to be more separate from regular ones or more clearly marked as stickies, like bold text so my brain immediately realizes it's a sticky thread.  Any way to do this?

The Icon for sticky threads IS slighty different from non sticky threads.

I personally dont like stickied threads, and I want them kept to a minimum.

What we have now stickied is ok, and unless a thread merits being a sticky, I will unsticky frivilously stickied threads.

Who is frivolously stickying threads?

No one, yet, but if I find threads are being stickied for no good reason, or have outlived their usefulness as a sticky, I will de-stick them.

Take it as a guideline.

Agreed. I'm not even sure the game threads in entertainment really need to be stickied, but I'm used to them being there at this point.

I did that because they are used commonly ...
It's ok for them to be ...
Current Thought; same thing ...

The only other stickies were from the "invasion" where I had to direct people in our "normal" posting pattern(s) ...

I'm ok with what's up there now ...

A "Current Thoughts" thread should almost always be stickied ...

The title of this thread makes it sound like an 80's band.

I'm sort of against stickies at all, except for rules or something. Dead threads should die, be they sticky or no.

I'm not worried if the current lot stay though, but we don't need 3-4 stickies per forum.

Should it matter how many stickies there are as long as the thread is something that is perpetual or stay on top?
