Two things you should know: You'll have to drink a lot. Mead ingredients tend to be medicinal and self-counteracting. Second, meads are sweet because they are based on honey. I have friends who brew their own so I go to mead tastings, mead parties, someone is always bringing me a bottle of their stuff. I'll sip it after dinner or have a glass to relax but getting drunk on it is a bad idea. Very bad.

Apparently, I am going to spend NYE driving my clinically depressed girlfriend out to the middle of nowhere because she hates St Louis so much that she doesn't even want to be in it on the easiest night of the year to have fun somewhere so we can stare a the full moon and not talk to each other. Seems simple, but according to her, I still managed to screw it up.

At least I got up early enough to jerk off before she woke up, so I could start the new year with some kind of affectionate gesture. Very painful breakup in 10,9,8...

I partied with a bunch of Indians (South Asian variety), who had the most OBSCENE open bar I've ever seen in a private residence.  I'm talking like 40+ bottles of top shelf, plus a fridge full of beer, plus a cooler full of champagne.

I drank Maker's, Belvedere, Jager shots, Couvousier, and 1800.  Which I and my friend dubbed the "Liquor Home Run" because we each covered more than 4 bases (bourbon, vodka, cognac, tequila, liqueur).

I was de facto DJ and the ladies appreciated my picking good music and I danced it up with a few gorgeous Indian chicks (Thrash you would be proud).  If that other asshole in the music thread says that knowing pop music isn't important, I will point him to this argument right here.
