CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 43-year-old Corpus Christi resident is behind bars after he was found with nearly 1300 images of child pornography on several electronic devices.

U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery says Camden Chase Plumb pleaded guilty on October 5, 2021. U.S. District Court Judge Drew B. Tipton ordered Plumb to serve 190 months in federal prison on April 20, 2022.

The court heard victim impact statements and considered them in determining Plumb's sentence as well as a previous state conviction for indecency with a minor.

According to officials, Plumb will also serve 10 years on supervised release following the completion of his prison term. Plumb will also be ordered to register as a sex offender and pay $15,000 in restitution to victims.

Authorities first learned Plumb had sexually abused a minor back in June of 2017.

"The investigation led to the seizure of his cell phone and a computer he had used. Forensic analysis of the devices resulted in the discovery of 1,058 images of child pornography on his cell phone, and 113 videos and 230 images of child pornography on the computer," said federal officials in a release.

"Both devices included images depicting prepubescent children being sexually exploited," said officials.

Homeland Security Investigations investigated this case along with the assistance of the FBI and Corpus Christi Police Department.

The case is included as part of the Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a nationwide initiative the Department of Justice (DOJ) launched in May 2006 to hinder the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The previous conviction for indecency with a minor is also a bit surprising, because he was probably active in the facebook l-g group at the time or after.

I'm not sure; his last FB postings and dealings are in mid-2016 ....
I'm assuming he was in prison from then until now, and they finally got all of the evidence they needed to convict on full counts ...

I remember the gf (who I think became his now ex-wife) saying something too ....
It's a little vague ...

I know one thing; I knew he was a little odd, or off, and I accepted that ....
I knew he had issue, as we all do, and I accepted that as well (it's AS/LG) ...
I knew he had abusive tendencies ... I thought it was mostly narcissistic, mostly mental ....
It's not excusable in any way, but I reasoned that she figured it out and finally left him ...
(actually, I think she's dead now that I look further; her or another of his ex's [Shannon]) ....

I didn't expect this though ....
I really just didn't ....

So, to be clear to those keeping track at home ....
190 months=15 years, 10 months + he still had 5-7 left on his initial 10 he was seemingly serving (I think) ...

Oh yeah, everyone from a-s or l-g was a little odd and has issues. With him, there was definitely the narcissism and of course the drug abuse. Just never would have guessed this, either.

Especially with the hardcore drug abuse he used to lay claim to post after post ...

Of everything I thought (or, rather, knew) about him and his profile type, I didn't foresee this one ...

Texas man sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for possessing child pornography

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A southeast Texas man was ordered to serve more than 15 years in federal prison Wednesday for possessing nearly 1,300 images of child pornography following an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Corpus Christi, FBI Houston and the Corpus Christi (Texas) Police Department.

Camden Chase Plumb, a 43-year-old resident of Corpus Christi, was sentenced April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas to 190 months in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release following completion of his prison term. While on supervised release, he will have to comply with numerous requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the internet. He will also be ordered to register as a sex offender and pay $15,000 in restitution to victims.

Plumb pleaded guilty to the charges on Oct. 5, 2021. In determining his sentence, the court considered victim impact statements and took into account Plumb’s previous state conviction for indecency with a minor.
