There was that time that Lucky and I tried to chase him down in Baltimore.

I did at least end up going back to the bike place we visisted to volunteer some, even though we never found chewy.

Can you imagine how long it would take for him to repent for ALL of his sins?
He better start now....

I was in Philly the first time, too.  I just didn't visit you guys.  I went to a bunch of places that Mello said were stupid, it rained that Sunday, and I flew home before ever seeing any of you.

edit:  but the third time...  what was that vile stuff called again?

No, that's just what it tastes like. We told you it was an acquired taste. Now you know, don't just do whatever Mello tells you.

Did you know it was called scrapple before you ate it?

How do you just eat something called scrapple?

"Hey dude, get that scrapple stuff, it's a philly favorite!"

No thanks, I ain't eating that shit.
Title: Re: Yep.
Post by: Zoomie on March 12, 2009, 11:36:39 PM
Mello made him eat it. Shamed in into it by telling him that the Kiwi and the Ozzer both ate it.

Of course, I didn't help, I ate a portion of it right in front of him. Because I like it.

Then I spilled coffee all over the booth and the pressure was off.

The first time I saw scrapple in Philly I thought it looked was a brownie and wondered why people would get a brownie with scrambled eggs.

Now I just think of it as a disgusting colon cancer brownie.

That was like the cuntiest thing she ever did. Now she can never have the cheese.

CRAP! I forgot the USB cord to my cell phone. I totally have to post a photo of my cheese.

FYI, folks, Zoomie is mixing TWO different visits together in this story.

In the first, I'm hung over and basically willing to give scrapple a shot because they said it was like cornbread and pig parts mixed together, which sounds a lot like boudin (tasty!).  It's in Baltimore, at the little diner around the corner from Zoomie's house.  Mello and Ed are both there, and we're sitting at a table.

In the second, Zoomie is hung over, and we've just been shopping at a Goodwill in Philly; Zoomie found fleece, and he was excited about it.  We go to a denny's, Zooms orders coffee and, within 20 seconds, has spilled it all over the table.  That time, I have pancakes.  Only Mello is there, and we're sitting at a booth.

In the Philadelphia area, scrapple is sometimes fried and then mashed with fried eggs, horseradish and ketchup.

And why did no one tell me this??? That sounds delish.

on American Dad recently, Stan at a whole jar of horseradish sauce.  Later in the show, he says there should be a warning label on the jars, letting people know that eating a whole jar of horseradish sauce will cause you to blow out your spincter.

I hate horseradish. I hate how it tastes and I hate the fact that whenever I say I hate it, the smirking response is "too hot for you, eh?" I like hot food. In fact, I love hot food. It's not that horseradish is too hot for me, it's that it tastes like nail varnish to me. Granted drinking gasoline might burn your esophagus somewhat, but the reason we don't drink gasoline isn't because it's too hot it's because it tastes like horseradish.
