Second trip to the french quarter. Sitting in Deanies Seafood House on Rue de Iberville enjoying an Ibita and some mudbug. Steeleye says hi.
Don't tell tulip.
-
I'll resist the urge ...
-
Heck yeah. I need to make a second trip. Maybe in a few years...
-
Sounds like fun. I've never been there. :-\

You're a day's drive (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=841+Iberville+St,+New+Orleans,+LA+70112&daddr=Round+Rock,+tx+78664&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=52.815565,89.296875&ie=UTF8&z=7) from me!
HI STEELEYE! SEE YOU IN A WEEK!
-
It cracks me up that 1 day is a short drive. Where I'm from you can drive the length of the country in one day. For Si I think you can do it on a skateboard
-
like THAT was going to stay a secret...

Welcome to Texas!
Welcome to Western Australia!

Ho there!
Hast thou partaken of a flagon of mead?

I have this one mug that a friend got for me a few years ago that can hold 1.5L of mead (that's two bottles).

That's not even much of an exaggeration. You can literally drive around the entire island in an afternoon.

I'd feel trapped ...
-
I'd feel trapped ...
seriously! Where do you hide the bodies??
-
It's an island... let the local aquatic life deal with that.
-
So's Australia, however, it's a tad bit bigger ...
-
and emptier... and with great wildlife capable of garbage disposal...
-
But bigger ...
-
Yeah, I got that bit already. I live here, remember?
-
Oh, yeah ...
... I fergaht!
Hyuck!
-
fuckin hayseed...
-
... and juniper!
-
I'd feel trapped ...
Eh, everyone says that, and there is an element of that. It's definitely a plus to get off the rock from time to time, we call it island fever.
But that said, think about this: in your day to day life, how big of an area do you live in? I mean, in your daily routine, where you work, where you hang out, where you run your errands, etc. Is it bigger than 108 square miles?

Tokyo feels like a damn big island sometimes.

Note to Mosh: to prove a point, we should try to visit as many places in a 100 square mile area while you're in Austin.
-
Is Austin big enough for that?
