Danzig, I'll defend your decisions regarding consumption of terrible substances to the end, but when we start using the term "shaman," we embrace a pasty white-man paternalism and a patrony the likes of which I can't in good faith square myself to.

The word is Northern European. Unless we're talking about the Lapps (and let's see.. K2 would be an African/Indian thing and DXM is a lab-creation) I think the word smells of white-man anthropology.

I know people have diluted the term into the vernacular, but I was pretty goddam drunk when I posted that so nyah.
