Title: I'm thinking of doing a write up on the murder of a friend of mine...
Post by: MacGirlver on December 17, 2011, 10:42:38 PM
What do you think the odds are of me going insane during reasearch?

He was murdered in November 2006. The guy who did it was arrested and told police my friends address and said there would be a body there. He had all sorts of lame ass excuses for what he did (which was shoot him point-blank in the eye with a shotgun), but the one his defense went with was "suicide by rape".  Of course, the jury did not buy it and he was sentenced to life.

I always had it in the back of my head to write about it for my favorite true crime blog. Then I discovered this asshole who murdered my friend has a website devoted to overturning his "unjust conviction". Someone is posting his "what really happened" story online. I read the whole 43 page chapter. I knew he was fucked up and wanted to blame booze, weed, and a gay man for what he did, but to see his words made me piece the scene in my mind and made me even more convinced he is full of shit.

Since he has supporters activly trying to get support for their "cause", I kinda want to write up why he shouldn't get any support. The editors of the blog are interested. All I have to do now is read the court transcripts. Including evidence. Like photos.

So..... what are the odds I might go insane during reasearch?

Could get pretty gruesome but you sound to me like you are strong enough and it sounds a worthy cause.

If you google "elemental madness" and "eric christopher miller" you can see his "support site".

I do plan on using his own words against him. Not only does his whole story reek of shit, he can't write.

There are several memorial sites dedicated to Jamey. He was one of my first friends when I started high school in a new district. He was one of those outgoing types that loved hanging out with all kinds of people (a wonderful trait that, unfortunetly, led to him eric christopher miller). Most of us (his friends & family) want to remember the good, but when his killer wants out of prison...well, that's when the angry, pissy, vengeful side of me comes out.

Yeah.
November 3rd is kinda a rough day for me. While police were just hearing about this, I was getting a speeding ticket.

Dude, that made me laugh.
It never occured to me until now that I could've totally used that in court. Damn, wonder if the judge would've waived it.  Prolly not, because I was on the other side of town when it happened. I was pissed about getting the ticket tho. I was already late getting my daughter to school.
