I'm watching this right now. There are some of the typical elements of crappy horror in the US but this is surprisingly entertaining. Although no explanation of where the fuck the zombies came from has been explained yet.

I watched another movie recently that I considered pretty good called Ashes. (Oops Lincoln just walked into a whorehouse.) Let me pause that shit, ... ok.
Now Ashes (http://ashesthemovie.com/) is in my opinion one of the best zombie origination movies I've ever seen. The closest thing to a real possibility.

I tried to watch pot zombies on demand because it was a troma movie.. and... ZOMBIES.. but fuck... shit was mega retarded.

It is good. Better than Hot Fuzz, and definitely better than Paul.

I'd go Hot Fuzz, SotD, then Paul. But that's probably due to my West Country bias. And I'd take any one of the three over most movies.

I remember that movie from quite a few months ago.
It was good but still no good explanation of how the zombies could arise in the first place.
I do remember that movie though so it must have at least been alright.

Commie, speaking of Troma films - have you seen Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead? It's one of the best Troma's I've seen in a while. Also Lloyd Kaufman was in town about a year ago and I got him to sign my boxed set of Class of Nuke 'Em High and shook the man's hand.
28 Days Later is probably my favorite zombie movies. Even 28 Weeks Later was good. Dawn of the Dead (original) was fucking great too.

28 days later was great until they ran into Dr Who, then it was all down hill for that movie.
My favourite zombie movie is still Wild Zero. I've watched it dozens of times and I still dont have a fucking clue what its about.

My horror film cohorts think they are ghouls instead of zombies; I guess I can see the difference. Although the definition of zombie is a living person who is under the spell of someone else (a voodoo witch doctor). I think the proper parlance would be "the living dead" (an oxymoron: How could you be living and dead at the same time?) or "re-animated corpse." However, the term zombie has more of a sinister brevity about it.
