I don't know much about the author's life other than him being born in Waukegan, IL.

I read Fahrenheit 451 around the age of 23 and couldn't put the book down. I found it on par with Orwell's 1984 and Golding's Lord of the Flies in the dystopian theme.

He's said some very funny/critical things over the years: Video games are for men with nothing else to do, the Internet is a conspiracy by business men, Micheal Moore ripped off my title. But nothing hits closer to home than his views on technology. Technology, in his opinion, should slow down. I agree. With all that is being developed, I don't think the next generation is going to have the critical faculties to digest technology as a part of the human condition.

Now, when is Frederick Pohl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Pohl) going to kick the bucket? That man is ancient!

... just do it on their REAL ESTATE
