Why aren't you posting shit lately ?
-
Nothing to post. Nothing happening.

Should I send a big storm your way?
It was 70+ yesterday, I went out riding my bike in a T-shirt. It may get up to 80 this coming week. But it is so dry that the fire season in SoCal has already begun.
-
It's 72 here now ...
I went and got lunch; chili dogs ...
Oh, and the dog shit in the corner of my yard at about 9:47 this AM ...
Oh, and ....
... and ....
Zoomie; back to you ....

I'm hiking a lot and fucking around on the internet much less. I've dropped 9 lbs so far this year.
-
It's been over 100 here... damn I love this heat.
-
I just got home from Antigua yesterday. We have a storm currently whipping through. It's not that cold, but it feels like it is.

Just read the latest projections for Ca., looks like the water agencies may not be able to supply any water to the farmers this year and at current they predict this to be the driest year in history. Some of our lakes have already completely dried up, others are hundreds of feet below normal.
While the UK is flooding like crazy.
The weather here has been really mild but one thing that makes this situation stand out is that even with near freezing temps overnight there hasn't even been any dew on the grass in the mornings.
This state is going to burn like a motherfucker this summer.
-
Southern California has never had the waterflow to support the population that's grown there. In the end, no amount of strong-arming the water rights away from other regions will save them.

While the UK is flooding like crazy.
Totally. It seems to have rained pretty much the whole time I was gone, there's standing water all over the roads. Didn't help that we had this over the weekend:

Some of those were taken in a little seaside town about 5 minutes from where I live.

Well the temps have dropped into the mid 40s f and we're getting a little sprinkle today. Enough to get the ground wet but unless to go outside you can't tell it's raining.
-
. . . Fuck all of you.
Winter is spanking the hell out of the midwest. I wish I could remember what a warm day felt like. Last month, January, the temp dipped below zero for nearly two days. Dogs were shitting ice bricks outside. A squirrel waged war with me in the attic (pepper bombs work). They've called off work for me two times. The commuter train I take trudges along because the rails dangerously contract below zero (i didn't know that!). Walking the five blocks to the train is treacherous. I wear insulated boots with slick tread; I've bounced on my butt thrice followed by shrieks and admonishment from my wife. My whiskers have frosted over into chunks of ice; my eyelashes have also frozen over too. Did I mention that I lost about an inch on my waist?
I saw a bike tire sticking up from a snow drift the other day. Someone had abandoned it. Speaking of which, anyone heard from Lucky?

Been in the mod-70s to low 80s in SWFL. Took my dog to the beach, riding my scoot all over town. I want another Jeep. Top down, fuckers.
-
Past the last cold snap, it's been 70s or so here as well ...
-
Still not that cold here, but we're in the midst of yet another huge storm, including what are supposedly the planet's biggest waves right now. The coastline all up and down the county (and elsewhere, of course) is torn to shreds, and roads are closed all over the place.
-
Snow's doing that all over the north (and to the west) ...
It's pretty amazing looking at the pics from my phone in this weather here ...
-
-
I have oil space heaters for just that reason ...
-
I have an oil filled electric space heater, But I turn it off when I get under the covers. Mostly just to keep the electric bill under control.
Even so if I run it all day I can barely get the room up to 70 on must days right now.
-
Ahhhh ....

I've heard predictions that this stuff will continue into March, even.
Still, it makes for impressive weather-watching. We drove down to mainland England's southernmost point today and had a look.
