Heya, mate. Like I said before, my lady and I are gonna be staying up the coast from you in Tintagel on November 30 and December 1. It would be rad if we could meet up somewhere and have a pint. We will have a car, tho I will probably not like driving it.

Or here, if you think having a warm beer in a drafty, 700 year old, stone building after 3 pm when it's already been dark and cold and rainy for an hour is something that these folks will be jealous of or want to hear about.

Fuck! I work both those days. I have both mornings off (after the school run on Monday) until 2pm, otherwise I'm off work Sunday night at midnight and Monday night at 10pm.

We actually get to Tintagel sometime Sunday. Exactly when depends on how long it takes a schmuck from Chicago to drive a rental shoebox roller skate of a stick shift everything is on the wrong side car from Taunton to there. Assuming he survived a similar drive from Bristol to Taunton the day before.
Our schedule is open, and we have no plans except to hike the coast trail on the days we're in Cornwall. If you can meet us somewhere for lunch between kid stuff and work, great. If it's not gonna be easy for you, no worries.

The coast trail is awesome, you're gonna love it. Taunton to Tintagel should take you a couple hours or so, mostly a very easy drive on the M5 and A30. The speed limit is 70 on any two or three lane road with a solid divider between it and lanes in the other direction, but you're allowed 10% + 2mph wiggle room, so realistically you can do about 80 most of the time with no problem. I live about another hour and a half SW of Tintagel. Any idea which bits of the coast path you'll be doing?
You could give me a call or email when you get down to Tintagel, and we could hopefully make a plan that way? I'll pm you my phone number and email address.

It was close, in that we figured out that there was a few-hour-long window in which I could drive up and we could meet up, and then both my kids and I got sick, and that was that.
