I'm watching a super easy method for making onion soup and was wondering, since you like it, do you ever make it from scratch and how?

The most basic way is with beef or vegetable stock ...
French Onion is beef stock (I'm pretty sure) ...
Then, I simply simmer for about an hour with onions in it ...
Onions themselves are to taste ... (IE: Vidalia for sweet, etc) ...
