Fuck, I hate McDonald's and wish I could burn them all down. I never cared about any of the stupid toys or characters. But in the 70's they were really cheap I'll give them that. Could buy a full meal for a buck and change. And their fries DID taste great. That's because they were fried in tallow. Sometimes that grease was so old it had been around for years.

But that didn't bother me because my mom always made fried potato's and shit using Crisco which is even worse for you.  A practice I continued until the early 80's. Loved my moms fried potato's. The only thing I use Crisco for today is loading BP revolvers.

I know people who make them with bacon grease ...

I sometimes use bacon grease for stuff. Pig fat is called Lard while Cow fat is called Tallow. Tallow is much harder at room temp and worse for you.

If it stays solid at up to 110° then you can see how it wouldn't be good having that in your blood stream.

Hey Thrash, I think this is the right place just doesn't follow the current thread flow.

Still I just realized something today. I wear my dog tags sometimes, you know like a nostalgic thing. Well check this out, I was wearing them today. And so I was thinking about them tonight and I realized something. Something maybe kind of important on some level. In a couple months my tags will be 50 years old. they will have a 50th birthday !

They are older than you !
