Now, I know some of you will say "I hate beer!" or "I don't drink beer, I drink..."
To those of you that hate beer, or simply don't have good taste, I recommend that you try chugging a cock.

For those of you that are too lazy to follow the link:

So, tell me:
What kinds of beers do (those of) you (that drink beer) like?
Personally, I like all Ales, and Bock Pilsners.
-
A nice Ale for the first few rounds, after that I wouldnt care and wouldnt notice if you pissed in my glass.

I just wanted to quote incase it gets an edit.
-
I like all of those. A quality brew is a quality brew
-
redstripe jamaican lager
-
Kolsch.
Fruh in particular.
-
I recommend that you try chugging a cock.
Sassy!
I like Guinness. So whatever that is.
-
Stout.
I'm not a fan. I prefer red beers from that part of the world. Smithwicks is a good one.
-
i have had exactly one beer that i enjoyed.

You like your local stuff. Very good :)
I'd recommend you try Kingfisher if you can find it.
-

I quite like reds and bitters.
I know I tend to dislike chocolate and coffee stouts. Oyster and Milk both sound absolutely foul.
I haven't tried half of these on the grand chart, though. I'm too broke and too beer-gardenless to have lived yet.
NOTE: Red Stripe is pretty sweet too, in its own way. One of my favorite two common beers.
-
I've yet to taste a beer that tastes GOOD to me. I've had a few tolerable beers. Most of them Mexican imports.
-

In the oceanic-tastic sense: figure out how to visit Austin, and we'll make this happen.
(ie - Nick and Ian are both Oceanic)
-
I find this thread daunting right now.

I find this thread daunting right now.
how so?
-
Too much to type. Back later.
-
I generally like Dark Ale, Brown Ale, Pale Ale, & Wheat Beer. I'm indifferent to the rest of the ales and don't really like lagers very much.
-
Anchor Steam
Guinness
Smithwick's
Kronenbourg
Voll Damm
Wadadli Gold
BridgePort IPA
Kingfisher
Singha
Tsing Tao
Tiger
Sapporo
Kirin
Stella
Heineken
Grolsch
Tuborg
Dos Equis
Negra Modelo
Xibeca
Estrella Damm
Bavaria
and many more beers I like for various reasons.
-
I like cold beers, but warm ones will do in a pinch.
-
Ales.
Krsna - I once drank a case of warm, skunky coors light when I was 16. Stuff sat on my porch in the summer sun for months.
Hit the spot.
-
Whatever hipsters drink, because I am a wannabe.
-
So would that be like PBF drunk ironically?
-

I aint drinking a six pack of Bud when I blow into Philly again. Was hardly worth the effort.
-
Philly has so many awesome local brews.... I wanna go again
-

Here is a popular local brew.
-
my friend went to philly and i got was some lousy "flying fish" IPA (actually a jersey bottled beer, i believe). i tried one last night and made the official ruling that i do not like me an IPA.
i've been on a huge guinness kick this winter, although smithwick's is my all-time favorite. since summer's coming i may indulge in a little hoegaarden, sans lemon of course.
i'm going to this:
American Craft Beer Fest - Saturday Session One
Saturday - June 20, 2009 @ 01:00PM / ends @ 04:30PM
Beer Festival @ Seaport World Trade Center
Boston, Massachusetts
-
IPA's are great.
-
What do the Philly kids here think of yuengling?
It's the best beer I've tasted since leaving Canada. Is there anything better locally?
-
Yuengling Lager is one of my favorites. About 18 years ago they couldn't give that shit away, then it just took off. Their Black and Tan is very satisfying as well.
-
I've met some Philly people who get indignant when you don't know that "I'll have a lager" means a Yuengling. I went to a handful of hipster parties up there that involved more PBR than I'd care to admit to drinking.
The hipsters in Baltimore drink National Bohemian like everyone else in Baltimore, but beer snobbery is making in-roads.
-
more pbr than you care to admin drinking = 1 can?
-
Yuengling is good, but I'd prefer to drink a belgian wheat. Two different things, but when there's nothing else around a lager will do it.
I never drink coors or bud. Ever.
-
Redback!
I'll bring more of that for you this time.
-

Lager is my standard "go to" beer. It's not too expensive and has a lot of flavor AND you can keep drinking it all night. There aren't many beers that meet all of those requirements. Many craft beers taste better, but they cost a lot more and often times they're just too flavorful and filling to be a session beer. Then you have imports, two of which my favorites are Corona and Hoegarden. You can drink either of those all night and I'll gladly take either of those over a Lager, but imports get expensive really fast, which then brings me back to the yummy affordability of Lager.
-
My thoughts exactly.
God I can't wait till all of your children are 18 so we can drink like it's 2004 again.
-
God I can't wait till all of your children are 18 21 so we can drink like it's 2004 again with them.
-
Why wait till they are 21? If they are like their aunt Geek, they'll start at 12.
That's right. I'm their fucking aunt. I've declared it.
-
Ahh... One day it will be party time again.
-
We can dream. :(
-
more pbr than you care to admin drinking = 1 can?
It's sad cycle.
Why am I at this party?
Why am I drinking this beer?
Ugh I hate everyone here.
Why am I drinking this beer?
I'm tired of talking to this person.
Why am I drinking this beer?
I'm ready to go but my friend won't leave.
This beer is gross but there's nothing else.
I'm tired of "ironically" listening to bad music.
This beer is terrible.
....
-
Krsna, if you like Corona, you'd probably like Carib. It's Trinidadian beer.
I like neither, but they taste almost the same.
-
Negra Modelo is everything Corona should be in a beer....
-
Some black models are really hot.
-
Miller High Life, yo.
-
Keg can Heinekens are good. Cuz if the beer freezes, there's enough leftover space in the novelty-shaped can for the beer to expand and not explode the fucking thing.
Makes for the occasional unintentional beer slushy too.
-
I'll forgive you the typo of putting "Heineken" in the same sentence as "beer" because you're clearly not thinking clearly right now
-
Heineken is nowhere near as bad as VB.
-
If Heineken and VB are the only choices, I might take the water.
-
Heineken is the best option we have down here. At least the best option we can get regularly.
Not a lot of choice here. And most of the Caribbean beers suck.
-
What are you paying for a beer up there anyways ?
-
330ml bottle of non-Dutch Heineken in a bar costs about EC$9, which is about US$3.33
330ml keg-can Dutch Heineken (cold) in a gas station or corner store costs EC$5, which is about US$1.85
Case of 24 330ml keg-can Dutch Heinekens (warm) at a corner store costs EC$85, which is about US$31.50
Same case from my neighbour who runs the company that imports Heineken is EC$75, about US$27.75
Local/Caribbean beers are cheaper but suck.
-
that's cheaper than buying beer over here
but
the beers are infinitely better. They're even brewed with natural water, not that other kind....

Space Ghost: One thing that's buggin' me. Who's your sister?
Donny Osmond: Marie.
Space Ghost: Yeah. If Marie's a little bit country, and you're a little bit rock and roll... What's the rest of you?
Donny Osmond: I guess if I'm a little bit rock and roll, the rest of me is composed of mostly water.
Space Ghost: Liquid water?
Donny Osmond: It's truth.
Space Ghost: Made from scratch?
Donny Osmond: Yeah.
-
I like cold beers, but warm ones will do in a pinch.
agreed.
-
ugh, if you're going to have something at room temperature, get a decent glass of red wine
-
Agreed. I actually don't even mind red wine at Caribbean room temperature.
Or water, for that matter. Everyone seems to think it's weird that I don't give a shit if water is cold or not. I guess it's a little more refreshing if cold, but if I feel dehydrated, water is water.
-
The body prefers water to be warm.
-
Polish beer rules 8)
-
but if I feel dehydrated, water is water.
I agree, Si. But Beer? Nice and frosty, please!
-
Yeah, that's what we were saying. If you're gonna drink something warm, make it something other than beer.

This is the best closing beer (ie - last beer of the night) on the planet.
-
I like all kinds of beers. Belgian ales are probably my favorite. I am also quite fond of many of the American IPAs and Imperial IPAs. Lots of great craft breweries in this country.
-
In a female/male relationship, i've found that men that drink Miller High Life (NOT to be coRnfused with "Lite" ~ gag, erp, rallll, gulp, ra....
have distinctively different tasting cum than men who drink other brands.
The Miller HL tastes sort of good...
The , gag... erp.erp.erp ... other's are sort of, well, disgusting.
Just sayin'...
-
LOL!!!
Thanks for the info, Wen.

But it IS true. Weird, but true.
