Monday afternoon Amy misplaced our car keys. Key to our truck, both doors of our house, and two doors of my mum's house. We spent hours looking, and couldn't find them anywhere. Luckily we had spare keys for everything, but it was worrying as fuck to have lost all those keys.

Fast forward to this afternoon. My mum knocks on the door and asks if we're still missing the keys. Turns out they were stuck...

...and we'd been driving around since Monday with the keys available to anyone who felt like stealing our car.

Pretty glad that didn't happen.

That fucking sucks man.  I lost a water bottle I use regularly for class for the past two weeks, and I found it, on the floor under a dresser when I cleaned and moved my room around, how the fuck it got down there I have no idea.
Pour the wine, hold the grind, quarter to nine, let's go.

Turns out they were stuck...

HERE

I can see the problem immediately. The steering wheel's on the wrong side. I can't even imagine how much stuff I'd lose if that was the setup for my car.

It's funny, that was the best pic I could find of my vehicle, or at least one very similar to it (same colour). But I was too busy noticing that that's the turbo diesel version (which mine isn't) because of the hood scoop (which mine doesn't have) to notice it being RHD. That said, I'm not sure if they even make Fortuners for any LHD markets.

I's called the Highlander here and we don't get anything Diesel in Japanese.
(from bash.org) <Twig> I just had an argument with a girl I know. She was saying how it's unfair that if a guy fucks a different girl every week, he's a legend, but if a girl fucks just two guys in a year, she's a slut. So in response I told her that if a key opens lots of locks, then it's a master key. But if a lock is opened by lots of keys, then it's a shitty lock. That shut her up.

Not true. Isuzu and Suzuki offer their compact pickups in diesel. And Nissan just got licensed to sell diesel in cars, so it won't be long before Honda has them too.

Honda will be selling them next year. It's been announced.

Re: speaking of things being missing Reply #10 on: November 07, 2009, 05:44:11 AM
Isuzu pulled out of the US market last year and Suzuki hasn't had a compact pickup for sale in the US since the 80's.

Besides, Isuzu's little truck was built by GM.  Totally identical to the S-10.  So that doesn't count.

So what I said is accurate until next year.

Glad you got your keys, si and no one stole your car.

detroit is surprisingly good at picking locks / unlocking locked cars. In fact, he recently helped a nun get into a locked car.

Also not true. The Highlander is an SUV. The Fortuner is basically just a Hilux with a back on it.

I stand corrected.  It's the 4Runner.  And *that* is basically a Tacoma/Hilux with a covered back.
