It's funny, but I think folks down here are like that ~ they did the crime, they'll do the time, but CRIPES ...
For real.
In the county jail up near the ranch? The "inmates" are all KNOWN to the deputies and sheriffs, and they get to go outside to smoke, while they sweep around the courthouse, which is right next door to the jail. There's a grocery store across the street and I could definitely see someone scoring some brew and sharing. And no one cares if that's what happens. It's almost as if jail and prison are just minor little inconveniences on these folks' pathes of life. It's amazing.
