Agreed. I'm really looking forward to the sequel. Thanos is going to be in it. That supervillian is unbelievably bad ass.

""It's actually the lantern-jawed Marvel villain Thanos. Devin Faraci at Badass Digest does a great deep-dive into Thanos as a comic-book character, but here's the short version: Thanos is an incredibly powerful interstellar being best known for the six-part Marvel series The Infinity Gauntlet, published in 1991. In it, the godlike Thanos gets his hand on the titular item, a golden glove studded with six Infinity Gems that gives him immortality and omnipotence. He uses that gift to slaughter half the universe, including tons of superheroes; when the remaining heroes travel into space to fight him, he kills all of them, too. Even the Avengers are creatively slaughtered, one by one. Iron Man gets straight-up decapitated! (Though things are eventually put right, and a lot of cosmic magic is involved.)"

The Chitauri, coincidently, reminded me of the Locusts from Gears of War. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

I went to watch this shit with some of my friends like two days after it came out.. shit was still sold out.

Sea of awkward nerds... i started to doubt my nerdness but remembered i made plans to see that shit via skype while playing word of warcraft with my irl friends.  :-[

.. still haven't seen it.

I remember the Infinity Gauntlet.  I had that whole series.  At one point ion the big mega-fight at the end these two gods were throwing entire planets at Thanos.  If I remember right the last one left for some reason was Captain America, and he just punched Thanos in the face, then he snapped his fingers and Cap was disintegrated into his component atoms.  That would be a good movie right there.

>>Emma Peel<<

Too bad, if we could just go back 30 or 40 years she could have been the ultimate action figure.
