I could do a Peritoneal Dialysis Book, but I've never done Hemodialysis and I hope to not have to.

I've been on PD for two and a half years now and it's all old hat. I finally got my Phos level under control. I hope I can maintain it.

Zach is hoping for Peritoneal when the kidney he has now decided to crap out. His first transplant lasted 15 years. He is at 6 years on his current one.

Hopefully, by the time he needs a new one, they will have figured out that whole grow-your-own-organ thing.

Even if PD isn't an option, opt for home hemo.

 Zach made me go to Urgent Care becauuse for the past 5 days, it feels like my spine is being shredded.

The doctor looks at my chart and says that a either a CT or X ray (I can't remember which one he said) done in 2011 showed that I have degenerated discs.
An MRI was requested, but insurance denied it.

The fuck? They never told me this! The neuro I have been seeing told me my scans were unremarkable.
I have had a constant headache since February 2012. Except for April 7th-14th.

I am so pissed right now. Prolly cuz urgent care gave me steroids and painkillers. Past expierence with steroids (from when io had Bells Palsey) tells me that the anger and sweating are from that. These painkillers aren't working. Fucking Vicodin.

One word: chlamydia. Just add it to this ever-growing thread of mine.

I am about 98% sure I got norovirus.

Walked the kids to school on Tuesday and started dry-heaving in front of the school. I figured it was because I took my morning meds without eating anything. Went home. Ate.

Two hours later I puked about three times. Fell asleep on sofa.

3 hours later I start puking again. Except this time, I'm also shitting my pants every time something comes up. What the fuck?
Clean up in the bathroom but feel super weak so I lay down on a towel in the hallway by the bathroom. Place another towel on top of my lower half and Zach puts a blanket on me and gives me a pillow. My inlaws come and take j&f overnight since they don't have school on wednesdays. My mom brings me gatoraid. I fall asleep.

Wake up at 11pm and find my way to the sofa. Was sweating buckets, so I opened the backdoor by the sofa. For some reason I thought it was raining. It was really snowing. I fell asleep. 6.8 inches of snow fell overnight and I left the door open.

My oldest gets up at 5 and tells me its too damn cold in the house. She shuts the door.  Z leaves for school at 6:50am and comes back 5 mins later telling me that school is cancelled.

Zach humored me by turning off the heat. I didn't puke at all but I wasn't eating anything. I finally ate 2 pieces of plain toast. That triggered the shits again.

Goddamnit I hate being sick. I'm sweating in a room that is 60F. I'm sipping gatoraid and pedialyte.

I'm glad Melissa didn't get anywhere near that bad last time she got sick ...

Oh it gets better!

My son started puking at 3am this morning.
Then at 5am Z starts having the shits and asks me "do I have to go to school?" I told her I would call her in, since I. Was keeping j&f home (I'm sure that is standard protocol for twins that share a bedroom right?). Then Z pukes and freaks out "I crapped my pants!"

I wonder how long until F and Zach get this.

On the plus side, I feel about 90% better. Haven't vomited in over 24 hours. At least it isn't hanging around for days on end.

I wanna know what Aussie in their right mind would visit the upper midwest in the winter months.

Speaking of winter..
The city requires you to clear your driveway and sidewalk 48 hours after snow stops. Problem is, the only two people in my house who aren't sick are either 3 years old or blind. Hopefully, my neighborhood is ghetto enough that enforcement won't give me a ticket.
