I just heard about this today. Apparently a caste thing. It happened in a temple which annoys me but worse so is the fact that they were warned violence could happen. I guess that means they knew what they were doing but, I don't know, I thought that times had changed. The worst bit is I have family in Amritsar although I don't think anything bad will happen to them.  

Riots have broken out across the Indian state of Punjab after a a preacher from an Indian sect was killed by a rival Sikh group in Austria.

Within hours of the incident in Vienna, thousands of Sikhs took to the streets, clashing with police and setting fire to buildings, vehicles and a train.

At least one man was killed when the security forces opened fire on crowds near the city of Jalandhar, police say.
