I think GS is there, they're just very very good at PR. Trust me, I used to work for them.

Wasn't GS one of the biggest beneficiaries of the bailout of AIG?  Everything I've ever read about them indicates they're pretty good at acting through other organizations to hide what they're up to.

Yeah, well someone had to make money out of that and it was the groups who were big enough to grab a stake in a government bail-out that could not be allowed to fail

Far from being angry at GS, I'd direct my rage at AIG, where it belongs.

Personally I feel stupid for not buying AIG shares. I bought Air New Zealand shares in the 90's when our government gave them money and made a packet.

AIG is far from being out of the woods and the fed cant print enough money to bail them out.

They are just another dirty little secret nobody is talking about.

My anger is mostly directed at the government.  What kind of stupid system allows a company to shop around for the regulator who promises the least oversight?  Why can't they be bothered to prevent mergers that reduce competition?  In my mind, the list of things that the government failed to do to prevent the current situation is pretty long.
