Just in some counties or in all of Texas?
Surely bars are open past midnight... Is this just for private purchase? Can you not buy 6-packs from bars?

most counties in texas cuts off at midnight for beer sales, unless it's friday or saturday in which case they will go to 2am (again, in most counties, and if there are stores open).

oh, and you have dry counties, too, which don't sell alcohol no matter what time it is.

edit:  i always liked getting more beer @ 4am while travelling. 

The day of a national election here, you can't buy booze until 6pm. Also, there's some stupid religious holiday where the same is supposed to apply, I forget which one.

In reality, though, it's pretty easy to get booze on either of those days, once you know the people selling. And other than those two days, you can get beer, rum, wine, vodka, whatever you want, 24-7.

I don't tend to dispense any drug to anyone simply because that leaves me with less for me. At heart I'm a critic, a conniseur - a serious hobbyist, insomuch as I like a good conversation about drugs almost as much as doing them.
