Fucking cell phone companies need to make their shit compatible with all computers.  Seriously.  My phone works with Windows.  Only Windows.  And only the kinds of Windows it likes.  I currently own a Mac (MacOS 10.4.11), Gateway PC with Linux Mint 5 on it, another Gateway with XP Pro x64, and an HP with Win98 SE.  And guess what.  Not a fucking one of them will take the goddamn videos off my phone.

Install a current version of Windows in the PC.
Update your Mac OS.

Because of a "SMART UPDATE"; WTF??!?!?

HTC killed the functionality of a lot of their phones with their last update.  My wife is pretty pissed and will never be buying another HTC.

Palm did the same thing with a phone I had, then they were bought by HP who apparently only buy companies to stop supporting their products and run them out of business.

It's a solid business strategy if you can afford it.

The problem is you have to be able to get customers to buy your new product to replace the one you just nerfed.

Otherwise, you lose your market share.

I don't quite understand how HP has stayed in business when they bankrupt companies they buy.  Are they part hedge fund, part ink manufacturer?

I think maybe the part of the company responsible for their delicious line of sauces keeps them afloat.
