So what's up with this early October Austin thing?

for me, i don't know exactly when this fall or winter, but the man and i are going to be visiting a couple of his friends. he lived there like '96-'00 (I think?) and was a chef at some supposed city hotspots. hopefully the food scene is still a happening thing down there.

So what's up with this early October Austin thing? If you've never been to Austin, its very difficult to get bored. Even with no money. People there give shit away. At least shit that's cheap anyway, like mushrooms or smoke. Beer's cheap too. You can get Lone Star or PBR 16's at almost any bar, burgerjoint or whatever for a couple of dollars. Even the cops are more tolerant.

Sounds like fun to me!

Yeah Austin has alot of pretty famous places to eat. Depends on what you like I guess I'm sure there's alot of upscale resturants, but places that I know of are little family diners and burger places. Oh and Fantastic mexican food and Tex Mex. Very vegetarian friendly too. Yeah, you read correctly. Good vegetarian food in Texas.

My favorite restaurant in the country is in Tx.

Unfortunately I hear Tony Zentner and his daughter Karen closed all his restaurants, not affiliated with ZD.

Holy crap that was funny (or maybe I'm fucked up). Shitting unecessary anger is the most punk rock thing I've heard all month.

Cripes!  It was the GLASS thang that did it for me!

For fast food:  Rudy's BBQ.

Never could find a truly "good" Tex/Mex place ~

those were all in San Antonio ~ Lupito's (puffy tacos), and some other mom & pop op's.  There was one ~ Martha's?  KILLER chili for seasoning!  Chili as in Salsa.

Taco Cabana is okay, for cheap, fast food that isn't all that cheap, but the tortillas are to DIE for, the one on Pleasant Valley, right after HEB and Albertrson's (if the AlbertOson's is still even there).

My son knows a LOT more places, 'cuz he ate out, more often than i did.

i'm SO sorry about this, but no ~

my mind is still moving fast, even though my rest of my self isn't, and if i don't reply, when i think of it?

i forget, or it just doesn't get posted...

All things considered, that might be for the best, but, i don't talk much ~

i type.

So.

If you'd smush them all together, maybe that would help, but i think it confused Daisy when that happened, before, but i could be wrong ~

it could have been my answers, back to back.

i just don't know what to say for myself, anymore, tbh, except that i'm sorry, and i'm

I feel like Fyrenza thinks we give a shit about the stuff she has to say.  Do they sit around all day at Hipforums talking about their feelings?  I seriously can't read through more posts that have absolutely no content, but are full of a lot of BS.

My eyes have long since learned to glaze over until the blue text is off my screen. She could be reciting Hamlet in Hindi at this point, for all I know.

Yep still kicking down the doors of the establishment.

Hell, I felt dirty for working at T-mobile and owning a house. So I went the opposite direction and moved into my car. That was a rough plan too. Texas got hot around march... so I guess ill keep couch surfing till either I get my act together and find a job in Austin, or it cools off enough that I can move back into my car and move back to Austin that way. Dumbass me let my ex talk me into buying a new car, so, yeah I have bills still. Stupidest thing I ever did.

67 Chrysler Newport!

LOL, thats what the nazi cops towed away from in front of my house a couple months ago despite it having a valid registration AND insurance.
I spent 20 years moving that fucking thing around to keep it from being towed away but Oh well, I failed.

Hey guess what, my contact with SAIC is based in El Paso!
I could be making a visit there sometime this year or early next.
