From the newspaper of the University of Victoria (the one in Canadia)

Im[Possible] Experiments

Hi, boys and girls! It's me again, Margaret, back with another edition of Im[Possible] Experi?ments. This week, we pay tribute to everyone's favourite furry campus rodent, in a little piece I like to call...

#63 How to Spot a Rabbit in the Dark

Materials:
Maglite or laser pointer
Salt shaker
Rabbit food
3 Tbsp of the core of a neutron star, minced

Use the salt shaker to sprinkle the neutron star core over the rabbit food. Place the laced food in an area you've spotted rabbits (for example, any?where on the UVic campus). Once all the rabbit food has been consumed, wait for a dark night. Take out your light source and shine it around. The gravitational field of the neutron star core in the rabbit's stomach will bend the beam of light, clearly indicating the position of the rabbits. What you do with the rabbit after you find him in the dark is completely up to you.

blah, blah, blah ...

yada, yada, yada ...

the rabbit food has been consumed, wait for a dark night. Take out your light source and shine it around. The gravitational field of the neutron star core in the rabbit's stomach will bend the beam of light, clearly indicating the position of the rabbits. What you do with the rabbit after you find him in the dark is completely up to you.

Excuse me, mr. einstein?  If the beam of light will be BENT, won't it be sort of like chasing the end of a rainbow?

Oh, yeah, anyway, we had rabbit stew tonight, with mixed veggies, and mushroom soup,

over rice, that i can now use to make some dessert with cream and cinnamon-sugar.  (Yeah, rum would be good in it, too, but i drank all of that the other night...   ::) )

Fail.

Well, once the rabbit stopped moving, you could close-in on it, but you might want to be sort of careful about what might get there, first...

Billy?  Do you and Dilly raise 'em, or hunt them?  Oh.  Or both?

 we raise them..

rabbits are pretty much the most cost effective, space utilizing and prolific meat you can raise.you can pretty much feed them with kitchen scraps and yard waste..

3 does and one buck produce roughly 340 pounds of tender, lean meat a year.

 rabbit,the other white meat..lol

Too much rabbit meat and not enough vegetables will kill you according to Stephen Fry... and the crew of QI.

no worries there, we raise all our own veggies here as well.

the problem with rabbits is there lack of fat content, its like eating pure protein. but i dont think eating just rabbit would kill you any quicker than eating just meat of any kind or or a certain veggie. a balanced diet is always the way to go if one has a choice. eating only one thing of any kind will lead to malnutrition of one form or another.

now wild rabbits carry tularemia which can infect humans and that can kill you.
