Ok, so she said yes! That was the easy part. I set the date for next Friday. Now I need to plan what to do. I want it to be something where neither of us feel trapped. No movie because you can't talk, probably not a bar because again it's loud and I'm not a big drinker, but definitely something "Austin-y" since she has yet to experience much of what this awesome city has to offer. Hmm. I need to make plans pretty quickly.

She's not only pretty, but really smart and funny. She's working on getting her VMware certifications right now and works at a startup company that is competing against Rackspace and Amazon for cloud servers (IaaS).

I don't feel confident at all. Mainly because I haven't done this in 3 years. I'm trying to just go into it like it really doesn't matter if we don't hit it off, it's just going to be us talking and having a good time. Not worrying about anything past that.

Also, I feel really good. Been in the dumps for too long. That spark, that excitement is back. The potential...

I just got blown off. The day before we were supposed to meet in person.  I just got a message, "Hey I'm really sorry, but something came up and I won't be able to make it on Friday. I'll let you know when I'll be free again. Sorry "

Not even sure how to respond or if I will at all. On to the next Okcupid girl. Sigh.

Let's see if I can start up another week of spirited conversation, ask her out and make plans, and then get blown off.
