The long sticks in the back are 2" rattan with a rubber head. You take a spear thrust to the head, even with a 14ga steel helm on, you're going out for a few seconds and waking up with 5 guys stepping on your guts. Fun!

On a somewhat related note, there's a very large Brunswick Zone near where I used to live. Nick and Mello have both been there bowling with me for moonlight bowling and it's always a blast.

So anyway, on Wednesday nights there's some LARP group that meets there and hangs out in the fireplace lounge by the bar. As near as I can tell it's like some post-apocalyptic / elizibethian vampire thing. Nobody runs around shrieking lightening bolt or anything like that. They mostly mill around in groups of three or four staring each other down and looking like they're plotting against one another. Lame.

Really, I just think it's an excuse for the fat chicks to dress like sluts and get their asses kissed by the uber-nerds who are trying to one up each other with their pseudo mad max costumes.

So what I REALLY want to do is to orchestrate and video tape a little mind fuck. Imagine this scene...

The LARP freaks are staring each other down and trying to get laid when from out of nowhere about a dozen pirates walk in and start harassing them. Then, a bunch of ninja appear from out of nowhere and a battle ensues.

THEN, Chuck Norris appears, and the ninjas and pirates flee in terror. Chuck then strides off into the sunset.

That would be awesome.

Yeah, I agree. I was originally thinking karate pants wearing Norris, but a couple of weeks ago I came to the conclusion that Walker Norris would be the shit.

Also I've spent too many thousands of hours reading about human history and social/government policy and my view of the world is pretty cynical.

Modern human beings are no different, except their desire to bash each others skulls in are repressed by the societies in which they live.

Thus, they engage in retarded activities like fantasy role playing, football, and counterstrike -- in order to stimulate their primal desire for violence in lieu of the real thing which is no longer socially acceptable.

But violence and war have always served a purpose, because human beings in themselves are not valuable at all to earth, and their natural ability to decimate one another has for several thousand years been an excellent check on overburdening their environments.  Remove that check and they devastate their own habitat.  Humans are the top of the food chain and they are their own only predator.  Without allowing them to predate one another humans just replicate en masse until everyone is starving, or the lands they needed for the growing of food are ravaged by over-use.

Actually this is only an expression of the sports mentality most people seem to be laboring under.
But at least in this context the people who would otherwise be positioned in front of every TV game imaginable actually get the fuck out and conflict with each other. It's a more healthy outlet imo.
