Yeah, I did some research after that, and found that the Japanese are wankers with their cellies.

Well, my phone would TECHNICALLY work, if it weren't for the fact that most of Japan's cell infrastructure doesn't use SIM technology.

And while I could globally roam as well, the costs associated with that choice might be more expensive than just getting a japan-specific phone, especially if i plan to visit more than once in a while.

So, UC will be looking into costs of a pre-paid phone for me.

Because, really, who knows where a rented cell phone has been...
