It is quite frustrating not having a life when you are used to having one.

The opposite holds much truth also.

I know that it was hard for me to have a life when I was a recluse drug addict.  I hated people calling me so much, I turned my phone off and didn't have one anymore.  After that, I stopped answering the door and going anywhere.  Ah, memories.

I never got addicted, thankfully. I just really enjoyed doing what I did. Then, I realized it costs too damn much.

If you're blessed with a broad taste in the spectrum of drugs and have sufficient acumen when it comes to physical withdrawal (especially), psychological withdrawal, and chemical dependence (the collective that makes up addiction as a whole)...then it is indeed possible to enjoy drugs regularly without totally obliterating yourself or your bank account. 

And that's when you're addicted to being high and avoiding reality rather than being addicted to any particular drug. And you use any excuse to deny it (i.e. I smoked crack last night, but at least  didn't do heroin...).

CT: We got an allotment. Only a small one, and we don't know exactly which one it is yet but today we checked out the place it is and it seemed alright. Talked to some people around. One couple gave us some spinach...

I've always admitted that I'm an escapist and that drugs are one of my primary tools.  I've never said or thought "Well at least I didn't do THAT drug".  *The more you knoooooow*

Cleansing. THE Prong album. One of the best albums of 1994 and perhaps Prong's signature sound. Their latest, Power of the Damager, is not to be missed, either.

Their latest....did not pull me in.  Cleansing may be THE album but they had two others that were of the same caliber.  Prove You Wrong, released before Cleansing, and Rude Awakening, released after.  Make sure you own all three of those.

current thought: am sick of being woken up by two little kids at the crack of dawn. this morning it was to them pulling the covers off and back on my feet in the cold, air conditioned room, and giggling maniacally. since they've been back downstairs with their apple juice, yogurt, and blues clues, they've started this game where their feet "don't stop" and they scamper about the hardwood floors throughout the house making this neat little noise that sounds something like "oy oy oyyyyyyyy!" (if it were "oi"'s instead at least i could be comforted by the idea that they would be pfr at 6 and 3). i don't have kids yet for a bevy of reasons, these are just a few of them. sleep in god dammit.

We actually made the spinich today. It took fucking ages; me and my brother put too much water in when cooking it so we had to boil all the excess away.
