I knew there had to be some basis for it. It's very artfully done. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of tattoos. It's like choosing one freaking shirt to wear for life. My mom's side is pure blood English.
My dad's dad was German/English
My dad's mom was Italian/Cherokee and her parents (my great grandparents) were an full-Italian woman and a full-Cherokee man (who died long before I was born).

My aunt did a big family lineage project about 10 years ago and showed all this to me, it was pretty interesting, she spent like a year tracking everyone down as deep in the family tree as she could go, I think she got it back like 250 years.

I chose all of my tattoos carefully, but there isn't necessarily some deep meaning to all of them. First and foremost, I want my tats to be aesthetically pleasing to me. Fuck having an ugly tattoo with lots of meaning.
