OK guys, lets hear your list of foods you want to try. I will line up Okonomiyaki, Yakitori, Shushi/Sashimi & Tonkatsu/Tempura at some point on this venture but there's a lot more meals to fill!
As for drink, you can get anything that's available in the US plus unlimited ranges of Sake, Shochu and Awamori.
What else would you peeps like to try? Suppon? Fugu? Yakiniku?
I'm budgeting 500 - 1,000 yen for lunches and 3,000 - 5,000 for dinner and drinks. Cultural point - the way Japanese people normally pay the bill is by splitting the total cost rather than working out what each person had. In fact, you'll almost never get an itemized list. People will just do a casual adjustment for those who didn't drink much or anything. However, there is no tipping so it's generally cheaper than the equivalent dinner in the US.
