For those of you in America, here is what most of the western world knows about your politics... you have a black man in the white house trying to fix healthcare, which is going nowhere because all of a sudden everyone else has a way better way to fix healthcare despite it being a basket case for the last 30 years. You're in two wars you won't win, which will bankrupt you as you try to compete with China economically, which you also can't win because people have less rights and they aren't fighting two wars. Sarah Palin is loathed by every single rational person in the free world. Conan is the governer of California, which is also broke, along with all of your banks. People can't get abortions in some places but can marry their gay partner in others. End.

This is how it reads for the God fearin' 'mericans...

"For those of you in America, here is what you know about your politics... you have a illegitimate non US citizen niggerman in the white house trying to destroy democracy. You're in two wars doing God's work slaughtering the infidel, as our Manifest destiny says we will rule the world. Sarah Palin is the most rational person in the free world. The Governator is the governer of California, which is also full of queers, but he'll sort them out. People can't get abortions because it's an affront to God, but can marry their sister in others, which all good God fearing 'mericans approve of. God Bless 'merica."

I've always heard lamb described as gamey. It's a much more distinct flavour than most other "normal" meats.

Yeah no wonder the Greeks pepper the shit out of it and then serve it with mint jelly.

I don't mind it once in a while but for real game meats I'll stick to rabbit and venison.

Lamb's one of my favourites. I love the flavour. But it's definitely gamey.

I made a lamb stew the other night with couscous. Good stuff.

I have eaten everything in Australia that can been run over or hit with a car or prop.

Lamb isnt anywhere near gamey to me.

It is gamey compared with corn-fed watery beef however.

Get a big hunk of it, cover it in garlic and soy for a couple of days, half roast the thing and BBQ the rest of the way. Your loved ones will thank you afterwards

I could have ordered tons of fresh lamb at the festival. Maybe this summer I'll get some at market.

I only get my beef from either my friends' families (most from East Texas have cows for slaughter) or from a 100% grass-fed ranch.

Zoomie, why didn't you post this earlier? I could have gone! Can't believe I missed it.  :(

Re: Nick, Ian and Brian Reply #48 on: May 06, 2009, 04:27:34 PM
Because I didn't know you were local(?) and I really only went to see my sister Marry Littlegoat and chill with the artsy fartsy homies.

And see the cute baby alpacas. And watch teenaged 4H girls shave sheep balls. And eat lamb burgers.

If you are local and want to hit the festivals, here's another one. I'll be there next Saturday.

I'll probably check out Springfest this weekend. I'll have to see what I'm up to the weekend of that Faeriefest...
