I just read this and I feel sad and yet I lolled at it. Basically a company decided it'd be a good idea to spy on cable viewers by embedding a microchip camera thing into the settop box that allows them to see how many people and of what age group are watching. I think I'll be duct taping all those little holes in the front of the box up from now on, either that or just bounce the remote signal off the wall behind the box with the thing turned to pick it up.

I can't see myself ever buying another TV. The one I have now is basically a big table weight with a DVD player on top of it and an inferior picture quality to my PC monitor.

Be careful of THAT, too ~ if you have a built-in web cam, you can be hacked and STILL be watched.

I take it you don't have an HDTV. I never knew that I was missing what I was missing before I got one.

Maybe I'll get one some day when I get my own place and am not renting, but until then, absolutely no way I'm moving one of those from place to place.

I doubt anyone would hack my computer, but if they did and all they wanted to do was sit around for hours watching me stare at my computer monitor I'd feel sorry for them.

Someone did that to me once... They e-mailed me and told me they could see what I was doing so I started wanking with the camera between my legs. They sent me e-mails asking me to stop doing that and start fucking my girlfriend again. It was funny. I'll see if they're in my archive and post them later.

Ever since I started working full time and going to school full time I started to realize how little tv I watch. I'm not the kind of person who can watch tv before I go to sleep so I read. I think I read about 6-7 hours a day and watch tv for 30 minutes while I eat breakfast. I'm getting cable and internet for the first time in years at the end of the month, but it is really for my roommate.
