Day 1: Nick hungover from the most out of control halloween party ever. Ian arrives at 11, comes straight to my house. I swear that man has a built in GPS. We go up to Ginza so he can get camera batteries and some money out. Back to hotel. Luke, Brook and Kyle arrive and wait at the airport for Sasha. Waiting. Waiting. She never posted her correct flight details and the airline wouldn't tell us whether she was on the plane. I called frikking quarantine to check if she's got busted dealing coke to the air hostesses. Luke, Brook and Kyle come into the city and we get them to the hotel. Sasha calls, 5 hr plane delay. We go out for food and getting sasha on the train from the airport turns into mission extremely difficult but happens eventually. Thank god everyone rented a cell. Luke gets drunk of shochu easily so I have a fall-back plan. We spend the evening in the hotel because it's late and people are tired. Booze was drunk. Pics of a certain kiwi wearing brooks tights to come I think. Not sure when we finished, late, tired. The tokyo auto-show is on today so Kyle and Ian will go to that and the rest of us will look around.
-
I thought I'd have to pull out the "GHEY" on you until I realized this was a diary for THE JAPAN TRIP!!!
I'd have made that the title, personally ...
-
understatement is the new negro
-
I thought it said "dairy".
-
I'm boycotting this tread because of sour grapes.
-
I would have made that trip WAY more fun.
-
Nobody wants their dicks sucked by you.
-
Speak for yourself. Sasha might.
-
other people carried cameras today... sorry
10:40 am, meet for brunch, tired. Why am I this tired? Turned out I got blitzed drunk last night, go New Zealand. Tricky was mean and took photos. Party split in two today, Kyle and Ian went to Tokyo auto show and the rest of us went to Harajuku, Meiji Shrine and Shibuya. I think I was a hungover liability but everyone had a good time. I'm learning how to buy embarrassing womens drugs from chemists in Japanese. The americans are all very jetlagged and went to bed early tonight. Tomorrow we leave on the bullet train for a guilt-trip to Hiroshima.
-
I would have made that trip WAY more fun.
Assuming you could have financially afforded to come along on this lil shindig, you still wouldnt have, because you are a bigger hermit than Dave.
Tokyo Auto show was very cool. Many many very hot Japanese models draping themselves across all manner of Japanese automotive metal. Many photos traken to be come Kyles future stroke material.
Also Kyle has taken the (abbrivated) Mosh tour of Akihabara. Showed him the hidden adult toy shop surrounded by brothels. Aquired vending machine henti figure for him. Think that set him up for the day.
Evening eating awesome food with everyone, drinking, and having an early night due to tomorrows early Shinkansen ride to Hiroshima.
I sorta drunk right now. All goodness.
-
you are a bigger hermit than Dave.
Yeah Dave's been getting quite a bit of this recently, but I don't really see him as the most reclusive per se.
-
Now that Danzig has confessed that he'll suck your cock if you come visit him I think Dave's visitor list is about to get a lot shorter.
"Hmm... Let's see. Should I go to Florida and suffer in humid stifling heat, or go to Maine and get neck bearded blowjobs?"
Maybe you should Dave should start giving out blowjobs too.
-

Not if you give me the correct drug cocktail.

Friends are not for sucking.
-
If you can't suck off your friends, then who can you suck off?
-
Um, all those people who AREN'T your friends?
-
Man, I totally don't understand you. You'll suck dick, but not make out with a dude, and now you'd rather suck off strangers than your friends? I mean, what the fuck?
If I was the kind of dude that sucked dick I certainly wouldn't exclude my friends from the dick sucking.
-
It just makes things uncomfortable, trust me.
-
I guess if you don't want your family to know, it's better not to let anyone else you know find out.
On the other hand, you risk running into anonymous family at the rest stop glory hole!
-
Oh, a lot of people know....the judgmental people are the ones that aren't worth saying anything to.
-
OK Try this line on for size: "I love you Johnny Cakes..."
-
Johnny should share that cake.
-
Mmm, pie.

ARGH! That's two nights in a row I have woken up at 4:30am. Damn this timezone shit.
Sex shop fun with Ian was seriously entertaining. I got a remote-controlled "egg" vibrator (Dylan you homo, it's not for you), and like Ian said this funny little naked anime toy from a machine that dispenses toys-in-containers, like gumballs. While we were at the shop that is sandwiched between a couple of brothels, we got to see a working girl come out (cute to boot), obviously having just serviced some lonely, old, Japanese business man with a vienna sausage dangling tween his legs.
Tokyo Motor Show was SICK! So many hot pieces of ass, and the cars were OK too.
Gonna try and get a couple of more hours of sleep before we have to get on the train, and feel all depressed about dropping atomic bombs on cities.
Too lazy to upload any more right now, but here's the store front for the little shop under the tracks in Akihabara that Ian has talked about before. I should have gotten video of how you actually get up into the store because that was the fun of the whole thing, but again too lazy to get the vid camera out at the time.

Since when does a person need a point to post here ?
No, seriously. What point were you trying to make?
-
That japan is close.
-
You wanted to point out that Japan is close right after Brook pointed out that we're suckas for not being there, correct?
So are you pointing out how much of a sucka you are, since it would've been just a hop and a skip for you, or are you pointing out that you're too cool for school? Or something else?
-
Neither. Just that it is close.
I think what I did to the names in my index post is proof I was starting to loose it today.
-
J. H. Christ karaoke was an epic battle of alcohol vs Japan, one in which Kyle got sacrificed on the alter of partying.
Went to the atomic bomb memorial today, it's overwhelming... Luke struggled in particular.
-
He struggled with the boner he got after hanging out with all of those eight year old children.

i'm eating green tea flavored kit kats right now. japan i love you and your weird candy.
-
Man that sounds pretty good.
-
I love Japan snacks... even the ice cream has less sugar than in the west
-
At first I started to feel a bit envious of some of you guys being able to go across the world and meet with others from here. But then I realized I'm as old as dirt and I already did all that shit in a previous life. So now I just feel happy that everyone had a really good time.
I guess being on the west coast and not having the resources to fly around the world or even to Florida for the weekend I'm always going to be the odd man out here at L-G.
Umm, I guess that's okay too.

Luke - If every minor detail is going to be corrected or explained ad-infinity I'm done posting about the trip.
Sorry about that.

Went to the atomic bomb memorial today, it's overwhelming... Luke struggled in particular.
For me, being there was very different from researching facts and hearing people's first-hand accounts.
What hit me was that I was actually there, standing a short distance from where the bomb had gone off. Everything I'd seen in the city in the prior 24 hours had not existed 70 years ago, and everything that existed 70 years ago was no longer there. At best, there were places like Hiroshima Castle (replicas) and, at worst, there was some parking garage sitting underneath where the bomb had blown.
And, fuck, everything that dedicated museum staff had been able to pull together over that same 70 years filled a handful of display cases in two buildings. That has to be the snapshot definition of cultural eradication.
-
Yeah, it was intense. You definiately moved on quickly through the more graphic exhibits and I can't blame you one bit
-
Day 2 (Full):
Wake up, very hungover. Later investigation revealed that I had drunk waaaay more than I thought I had, coming off a 3 day blitz before people arrived this was tough. Go to hotel and pick up everyone. Further investigation reveals there are embarrassing pictures of me on already in existence and someone's underwear will never be the same. It is important to establish a drunk standards early in a trip. Brunch at a bakery, several comments about weird Japanese food and we're just at a bakery, make mental note to scale down some of the food adventures.
Museums are closed so we go to Harajuku and Kyle/Ian head off to the Tokyo auto show. Kyle, please post pics of hot women from this. Sasha and Brooke like shopping a lot and should have some good pics, we start out trailing behind them but wander off eventually. Lucas found the extra greasy lotteria burger to be small, those burgers were made for smaller hands, taiko. We made it out the other side and were about to head off to the shrine when we got a call to go back to a pharmacy and help buy something. The events that followed were in approximate order: Nick is told what he needs to buy > stare blankly at wall a few times > look it up on online dictionary on cell phone > ask girl behind the counter > girl behind the counter stares blankly at nick who is staring blankly at girl and dictionary > Nick explains that it is something that women get > mutual lightbulbs go on and girl-behind-counter pulls out two packets and through mime we establish the desired option for administering product > pay > leave.
Danni, o-daiko and I head up to meiji shrine in the midle of a forest and see the first of 3 traditional Japanese weddings with a foreigner husband involved. Luke finds a praying mantis and buys a charm to protect him from evil and we cleanse our hands in the purifying water. We wander into a side-garden on the way back and have a look around while the girls come up to the shrine and see another Japanese wedding with a foreigner husband. On the way out we stop to say goodbye to the praying mantis which is practicing yoga in one of the dozens of bonsai trees on display. Get on train and go to Shibuya, wander around for a while and Brook buys condoms at condomania. a late lunch is eaten and we get on the train and head back. Dinner was a quiet one at an izakaya with an early night because we're on the 7am shinkansen heading to Hiroshima. Kyle stuns the group by actually having pictures of cars on his camera, which is better than I did when I went to the auto-show.
-
I had so much fun going shopping because I could stand there talking slang to japanese guys, such as "you are so fine." I also got to tell a bunch of 15 year old boys that I loved them and they said they loved me back. And finally, I got to panda-face a boy. Who says western women have a hard time in Japan?!
-
Where was this guy while we were in Japan? I would've panda-faced it. alllll night long.

Day 3 (Hiroshima I): Barely slept all night, god knows why. Meet everyone at the station, and buy some supplies for the shinkansen. It was a long ride, but we covered 820 km in about 4 hrs, it takes about 40 minutes less on the fastest train but the folk without JR passes weren't eligible. Get to Hiroshima, dump stuff at hostel, take photo's of wig shop next door and walk over to shukkeien (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shukkei-en)... stopping at a J-version of denny's for some food. I loved the garden, any time I spend in Japan that is not in Tokyo is good as far as I can tell. There was a museum of art right there so we hit that up too. At about 3 I realized we were only 10 minutes walk from Hiroshima castle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroshima_Castle) so we wandered over for a look. Cool spot, Luke was blown away by the swords on display. When Luke and I got down the others were over by another shrine drinking beer so we had a sake, walked out of the cool castle grounds, hopped on a tram and went back to the hostel. Everyone had a nap and I had more beer and watched baseball.
For dinner we had Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, which I frikking loved, and then proceeded to lay waste to a Karaoke box a few floors up. Karaoke was a riot and Kyle got destroyed, but not before getting some videos of people jumping all over a room. Cool random moment of the evening was the waiter briefly rocking out with us when I sang Rocket Dive, a Japanese rock song from the 90's. Post Karaoke Kyle can't walk, so I give him the key, put him in a cab and the cab driver doesn't know the address I gave him. I get in the cab and we go back, with the others due to go to a bar. Kyle gets out of the cab after me and just before the cab drives away we realize he hasn't got the key. In a moment of stupidity I tell Kyle to run after the cab and he runs into a flowerpot. Despite setting new records for slowest chase of unmoving object, Kyle almost gets to the cab before it drives away. Kyle reaching out to grab a taxi that is already 4 yards down the street and accelerating is a memory that will live with me forever. Kyle looks after the cab for about 10 seconds and walks back over the road to tell me he didn't get the key. We go over to the Hostel door and I wave another guest to let us into the lobby but we can't get into our room so I have to call the owners to come let us in. I chat with the tourist while Kyle throws up in the bathroom as we wait. She was Vicky from the UK, and probably not amused at my drunken effort at conversation. Getting naked would only have made it worse so I didn't. Luke calls me and tells me they're walking home. Why they didn't get into a taxi and ask me to direct the driver I don't know but I suspect it was because they were drunk. We go upstairs and Kyle has a showever and is sick again. I go back to talking to the brit and have some beer from the vending machine. Everyone else comes back, gets more beer from the machine and I introduce them to Vicky.
We go up to the girls rooms and drink more and talk, Ian and Danni are next door and communicate with us in morse code throught the wall. Tricky goes to sleep so Sasha, Luke and I go down to the lounge and sit around talking. It's at this point that Sasha and I have a long drunken argument about how I'm sexist because I'm OK with Japanese women buying their own medication when capable of doing it. Sasha goes to bed so Luke and I walk around outside, buy more beer, drink it and go to sleep. Kyle is asleep in Luke's futon so Luke took Kyle's which wasn't put together correctly. I think we sat around talking for a while and maybe drinking more beer before going to sleep at 4am. Luke was excited to sleep on tatami mats.
-
The Kyle interludes are brilliant! This travelogue just gets better and better!
-
Day 4 (Hiroshima II):
Wake up and wish I hadn't because someone kicked my eyes through to the back of my head and filled my mouth with ash while I was asleep. Luke informs me it's 10:30 and the others are already up but he lied because Ian stayed in bed until 2. The girls had gone to a corner-store to get breakfast ingredients so I went 10 minutes further down the street to get almost the exact same thing at a supermarket. I make breakfast for Luke and Kyle and Danni makes the first of about 7 cups of tea I would have that morning.
Sasha goes back to bed and Brook wants to go to an art museum so the rest of us get on a tram and head over toward the atomic memorial. Luke realizes he needs camera batteries so he heads off to find some. Kyle, Danni and I wander up the park toward the museum, to be accosted by several groups of school kids who are asking us questions in Engrish as part of their homework. Over 300 yards we do this about 4 times, and get given paper cranes for our effort. We finally make it to the museum entrance and turn around to watch Luke have the same fun. It takes Luke about 20 minutes to cross the same ground and I'm about to pass out from hangover. The museum was chilling, every person should visit this place.
As we're walking back Ian showed so we warned him about the kids before getting on a tram and going back. The girls bought some ingredients at the supermarket so we have dinner at the hostel. While the girls are cooking Kyle has a nap and Nick and Luke go to a bar on the corner and have some sake. Dinner was great. We talked about going to the hot springs but the girls were against it so we just laid around in the hostel. Luke, Brook and I wandered off to try find a bar but didn't manage it, had some snacks in a ramen shop and went home. At the corner store we bought a bunch of beer and a Japanese card-game which I half-taught Luke how to play, but we fell asleep before getting a chance to play for money.
Brook and Sasha had adventures in a park and also flashing in a sticker photo machine. They can give details because all I know is the photo machine sticker manufacturer has new spank and advertising material.
-
Did anyone get a pic of Tricky flashing her boobs at the Tokyo karaoke?
Kyle? Kyle?
-
Kyle?
-
I am far more jealous than I thought I'd be.
-
Day 5 (Hiroshima III):
Wake up early and due to the raging success of Nick's Breakfast I make Nick's Breakfast II. Gather up all our gear and Kyle and head off to the station. Dump stuff in locker and catch a local train out to Miyashimi-kuchi and a ferry across to Miyajima (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itsukushima_Shrine). My favorite stop of the week, lots of deer walking around everywhere and the shrine and surrounding temples were stunning. I want to spend 2 days exploring there. Luke, Ian and I wandered into the foothills and found some great little temples, very very cool. I stole Kyle's camera so he has some great pics from on the island. On the way back we ate many snacks including a bacon & cheese on a stick special that Ian took a liking too, corn, chicken and pork goodness. A deer started following luke trying to get at his finished corn cob but Luke's lack of game extends to deer and she was picked up by another buck after a few minutes. We also saw the world's largest wooden spoon, I think Luke has pics of this. The shrine was hosting a Japanese wedding with a foreign husband, go figure. Back on ferry and back to Hiroshima. We hit up the standing udon place and I think everyone liked it, I know Luke did and he even slurped a little. Went for a wander around, grabbed our gear and Kyle, jumped on the train and away. On the train I was sitting next to a Japanese lady and we hit it off, she was living in Seattle and my wife and I now have a place to stay if we're ever in town.
We get into Tokyo, dump the stuff at the hotel and I go find Yusuke. Luke, Kyle, Ian, Danni and I head to an Izakaya with him for much salad and yakitori and shochu. We're all toasted from the adventures so far but the drink is good. I think Kyle only had tea but we let him off because he is a wee fella. Wife shows up eventually, she knows Ian and Danni so they hug lots and we have more drink. Go home, celebrate seeing my wife again after a week (she was in the USA for a bit) and am about to go to sleep when the phone rings. It's Luke, informing me that the girls and Kyle have gone out. I digest this important piece of information and pass out. The details of their trip to Roppongi can come from Brook because it sounded like fun, but they managed to spend about $50 on taxi fees when walking 300 yards from your hotel would have saved you $30 off that. Consult your tour guide folks, especially when the alternative for giving directions is Kyle.
-
Day 6:
Wake up and call Ian. He, Luke and Danni are at the National museum in Ueno so off I go. I love this museum, it is massive. Highlights were the display of samurai blades, some of the oldest surviving pottery in the world (a little over 12,000 years) and the Lotus scroll. Any others of you make it over here and this is at the top of the list of things to do. I find the others after a while and we head off to Ameyokocho, which is a market area around Ueno station. Brook, Sasha and Kyle have woken up by this point and we agree to meet at Ueno. On the way there we find a bazaar selling pottery and snacks from the Saga region in Kyushuu where I went to school in 1999 so looked around a bit and Luke got some presents.
We all wander around ameyokocho for a bit until I find a sushi place. Ian and Danni hit up the ramen shop next door and the rest of us dug in. Brook enjoyed it so much she ate 18 pieces. Great stuff. After sushi we split up and I was walking around with Luke when Ian called him and they shot off to Akihabara to look at computers and shops selling border-line porn. I wander a bit more and stumble onto Kyle so we go looking for adult DVD shops. Tricky gets done with her shopping and we meet up at an anime figurine emprium of some sort that Kyle is buying presents at. I'm starting to get tired of this so it's coffee time and off to Asakusa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asakusa) on the subway. I used to live nearby and know the area well enough. There's tons of shops and the temple and gate are cool. Wander for a bit before heading back, stopping on the way so Kyle and tricky can try taiyaki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiyaki). We get on the train but decide to go to the imperial palace as it's on the way home. It's getting dark by now but we had a cool twilight photo session in the fountain park near the palace, Kyle post some pics man. The train station was far away by this point, so we got in a cab and rode down to the Tokyo tower, cue more photo taking. Wander through my local area and tricky and kyle got to meet some of my baseball buddies who would be getting naked with them later on. Home, shave and a beer in the shower later and we're off to Yusuke's great washoku restaurant.
A few plates of nabe and tempura later and it's karaoke time. Sasha enjoyed herself hitting on any member of the baseball team foolish enough to glance her way. you've seen the pictures but the baseball lads made sure the party was a good one, shame more of them weren't free but friday night is tough for most of them with restaurants and bars to run. Tricky asked me to take my pants off and I did. Kyle and Luke took a stupid amount of photographs of the girls and probably failed to get Sasha and Tricky flashing us their panties on camera. After Karaoke we went to an underground club called muse that steve likes (leftmost on the ass pic). Sasha and steve took off at some point, Kyle isn't into clubs, singing or partying and wont wear his hat on backwards and I danced with a wee hot j-girl who tried to undo my belt before ditching her to dance with brook who didn't. I think we got home at 5.
Day 7:
Someone called me at 10:30 to ask me what the plan is and I didn't have one so they went to harajuku to see the goths who weren't there. The girls went shopping while the rest of us had extreme hangovers over brunch. After that all we were good for was sitting in a park and waiting for the sky to stop switching up with the ground. Brook and Luke left first, then we went back to the gracery and kicked out Kyle and Sasha before finding a park to relax in until the last couple were due to go. I went chiropractor -> hot bath -> bed.
On a side note, I woke up at 6 the next day, got on the shinkansen and played in a cricket match, we won and avoided relegation from division 1, and one of our players who is a managing director at a securities firm took the team halfway up the mori tower for cigars and GT's... in our cricket gear. What a week. Now please to be posting pictures of the events described. Less of my ass and more of tricky's thighs and sasha's rack
-
Gather up all our gear and Kyle and head off to the station. Dump stuff in locker...
Sasha unsuccessfully tries to convince Kyle to climb into a locker for safe storage.
On the way back we ate many snacks including a bacon & cheese on a stick special that Ian took a liking too.
Additionally, we picked up a deer for about 300 yards. I think it wanted some tasty food-on-a-stick treats, but another deer ended up scaring it away before we made it back to the ferry. I was really looking forward to seeing how the ferry station people would deal with a deer wandering in with us.
-
Now please to be posting pictures of the events described.
I'll get on this tonight, after work!
I PROMISE I WILL, TRICKY.

Update: I've selected ~100 pictures that I like. Many pieces of Nick's stories are represented in these photos, and I'll do my best to tie things off.
Uploading the whole set to a PB now; I'll try to put some up tomorrow morning before heading into work.

Somehow all the videos and pictures have been deleted from off of my camera. Also, I noticed these little brown bugs the size of bed bugs all over my house yesterday as well. AND to top it off my band account is negative, I'm unemployed, and I still have back-acne. There is a pox on my house!

stupid question: does your PC delete them when you copy them to your computer?
-
What type of memory card does your camera use? DON'T take any more photos/videos with it or you risk never getting anything back!!!! The ones that were deleted, may actually be easy to recover. Google "recover photos from sd card" or "compact flash card" etc. There are tons of programs. Like this: http://www.cardrecovery.com/ (http://www.cardrecovery.com/)
I have personally used F-Recovery and recovered 90% of the accidentally deleted data from an SD card.
http://www.filerecoverytools.com/products/fr_sd/ (http://www.filerecoverytools.com/products/fr_sd/)
-
The memory card is a sony cybershot NP-FR1 card. It is really strange because all the icons on my desktop except for the recycle bin have disappeared as have all my files such as mp3's and jpg's. It's very odd.
-
I got all the way to recovering the files and then it wanted to charge me $29.95. While my bank account is negative, the pictures and videos will be considered lost forever.

How am I even supposed to keep caring about putting these photos up, when I've spent about 20 minutes trying to link the first dozen?
Any time I try to post more than a few pictures in a single post, I get timeouts at the mySQL DB. In some cases, it won't even let me do it image-by-image.
This is fucking ridiculous.

if only I could upload them directly to a photo gallery integrated into the board, this would be a lot easier!
It's installed on this board, however, it doesn't work with this version for some odd-ass reason ...
We need to get to 2.0 ...

So, stop telling me how to fix it, and fit it!

Holy shit man...
...how'd they fit a Commodore 64 into a vending machine?
-
The Japanese are masters of the vending machine.
-
I need to get my hands on some weird vending machine stuff!
Weird nudie comics from strip clubs just don't cut it.
-
I saw a vending machine where you can get pocket pussy's in Tokyo.
I think Kyle bought about 10 from it.
-
no wonder he was so tired that week. I thought it was all the walking and drinking
-
God damn it, i missed out on those vending machines.
and the pedo in this thread is creepin' me out. why i always gotta be the one pointing out the elephant in the room?
-
I was charged extra when checking out of the hotel in Tokyo, because I may have gotten a little over enthusiastic going to town with my box full of vending machine pocket punanis.
Jesus, today I FINALLY feel back to my normal self and the brain fog has departed. That took a LOT longer than it did in April. Of course I also didn't drink every night in April.
Just a few random thoughts in stream of consciousness-style:
I was spanked. (apparently)
I bought conditioner thinking it was body soap, and couldn't understand why it wouldn't lather no matter how much I pour into my hand and rubbed over me. But boy my skin was silky smooth.
I bought a wireless egg vibrator for my baglady.
Everytime I went to the bathroom during Karaoke something happened while I was gone. First time, I get back and there is a broken beer glass and shards of glass all over. Second time on the last night, suddenly all the dude's shirts are off (they weren't when I left).
I swung a giant dildo around like a medieval weapon.
I got to see Asimo and got some great video footage of him dancing.
I sat on a girl's lap.
I almost didn't make it home. Waiting for Sasha outside the bathroom in Chicago, I suddenly hear "This is flight ### bound for Austin final boarding call. Mr. B this is your last boarding call." Sasha had already boarded! Fuck me, I had to run like a bitch down the terminal. Last one on the plane. But guess what, that means FIRST BAG off the plane bitches! (Actually that was Sasha's but my bag was second).
Brook has a nice ass.
Skewered bacon-wrapped cheese balls are like nothing else in this world.
I bought a pair of candy tits (nipples and all) to give to my boss.
The Tokyo Motor Show was off the chain.

There was a sign in the first karaoke place that said "Let's enjoy singing", but Mosh's jacket blocked "ging" when he hung it up.
I think I only got a pic of Danni & Mosh under that sign.
1)Mini-donut holes with salt (http://loaded-gun.com/index.php?topic=1468.msg67155#msg67155)
Those were actually seeds/nuts, and UC still needs to tell us what the names of them were. They were really tasty, though; seemed like they might be related to pistachios. They were pretty easy to pick up with chopsticks, since they were kind of soft in the middle. You'd dip it into the salt VERY lightly, and then down it.
Nick, can you name this dish for us?
2)Salmon with sour cream (http://loaded-gun.com/index.php?topic=1468.msg67223#msg67223)
This was pretty good; as you'd expect fresh seafood to be in Japan. I don't think it was sour cream, though.
3)Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (http://loaded-gun.com/index.php?topic=1468.msg67230#msg67230) (ok I know what this is called, but what is it like?)
This was fantastic. It had egg on one side, and crepe on the other. in the middle was some veggies and (I think) bacon. When it was ready, the chef chopped it into 8-10 pieces (divided dorsally, then down each side). There were other folks, though, that used a tiny spatula and ate it directly from the grill.

If the seafood was so fresh in Japan, as you kept claiming it was, then why did it taste like vaginosis?
AND the only veggie in those omelets were scallions, which aren't nutritious in the way something green should be.

Got it (http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab269/stopbeinglamekyle/specialrequests/c9fce247.jpg).
I appreciated the pseudo-mathematical nature of the tree as well.
-
If any of you come back for a second round (gimme a year or so to recover) I'll pack you off to Kyoto. Crooked trees as far as the eyes can see.
-
I have about five friends that want to go. I wonder if you would want to be nice to five hipsters for a week or so... I'm scared.
-
That is a good pic, man ...
*cries inside*

*cries inside*
*but still posts about it*
-
*punches self in the face*
-
Use a brick ...
-
I'm not sure if I can handle more than one hipster at any one time, what I can do is organize your tickets to Kyoto, a map and a police diversion
-
You going to get naked again eh.
-
I want to do Japan. But it won't be until after Antigua.
Also, I'm going to talk one of those Japanese goth girls into living in a creepy handmade shack in the woods with me and sleeping in one of these babies: http://www.amazon.com/MHP-The-Nicodemus-Coffin-Bed/dp/B001CHK3YI (http://www.amazon.com/MHP-The-Nicodemus-Coffin-Bed/dp/B001CHK3YI)

Don't worry, I'm going to build my own!

That wouldn't make much of a diversion around here. I'd have to wear my shoes inside, or worse, walk down the street eating a snack

(yes, Kyle ended up with the crippled kids)
hahaha I didn't see you take that photo. Cool kids! I think they were my favorite group. I was wondering if their bus turned over or something because more than one had problems, or if they just segregate the crippled kids from the rest of the general schoolkid populace.
This (http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab269/stopbeinglamekyle/specialrequests/4c9afbec.jpg) is my favorite picture that I took from the trip. I like how the guy fits in with the nature in the foreground and the architecture in the background.
That is awesome. It looks like the guy is pondering whether to jump in and end it all.

Sasha in front of the only hobo we saw the whole trip, with a random stray cat that joined in the fun.
Also, Luke, I managed a sneak-shot of you too. When you sat down at the gardens in Hiroshima to take it all in.

SHHHHH, I know I need to make this damn gallery. I was camping all weekend, but I promise I'll get everything created this week. Before Wednesday.
-
It's official; Kyle just set himself a goal.
-
W3rd ...
-

The best part is the way the foreground has some blurry greenery in it. Makes it just that much more stalker.
-
Alright, send me a message if you want the password to the gallery. I have only upload photos through the 2nd day in Tokyo, but will be adding more throughout this week.
Don't pm me here - I always forget to check. E-mail me.
-
Update: I have about 185 photos uploaded, but I'm not done yet. Got another 199 to go through and upload. (I am not bothering uploading ultra blurry/dark ones - but everything else is.)
-
FINA-FUCKING-LLY.
Done. 377 photos uploaded. There are two different sizes for each photo - the one that defaults when you click the thumbnail, and then one a bit larger if you click the higher resolution link.
Next project is getting the videos uploaded; I have 50+ videos. Obviously the gallery won't work for the vids, because it's a photo gallery so I am still mulling over ideas.
Anyway here are a few to get you fuckers interested in seeing the rest. All youz got to do is e-mail me for the password!
Also, who else has photos they haven't shared? Luke sent me an e-mail (apologies for not responding yet - I wanted to get all my crap uploaded first.) Brook sent me a chunk of photos, Sasha were you able to recover stuff from your camera?? Ian anything?

I knew those fountain pics at dusk would amount to something
-
I'd hump my butt so hard. Then cum allover those tights.
-
I would hump your tights and then hump my sexy last night hair do... and then have a gang bang with Nick's fictional rugby friends... AND THEN come all over tricky's mushroom stamp of approval.

fixed.
-
Better visual that way. Indeedy!
-
Not to Dylan ...
-
Brook's Karaoke panty flashing is forever stored in my spank bank. Sorry fellows, I forgot about everything else around me, including my camera at the time.
-
Learn to draw ?
-
heheheheh
-
Yeah, I'd settle for a sketch ...
-
it was the funniest thing ever when we were singing this at karaoke:
Gangsta's Paradise
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life
And realize there's nothing left
'Cause I've been blasting and laughing so long
That even my momma thinks that my mind has gone
But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
Me be treated like a punk you know that's unheard of
You betta watch how ya talking
And where ya walking
Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip but I gotta loc
As they croak, I see myself in the pistol smoke
Fool, I'm the kinda g that little homie's wanna be like
On my knees in the night
Saying prayers in the street light
Been spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
They got this situation, they got me facing
I can't have a normal life, I was raised by the state
So I gotta be down with the 'hood team
Too much television watching, got me chasing dreams
I'm an educated fool with money on my mind
Got my tin in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I'm a low down gangsta, set tripping banger
And my homies is down so don't arouse my anger
Fool, death ain't nothing but a heart beat away
I'm living life do or die, what can I say?
I'm twenty-three now but will I live to see twenty-four
The way things is going I don't know.
Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the ones we hurt are you and me?
Been spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Power in the money, money in the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody's running, but half of them ain't looking
At what's going on in the kitchen
But I don't know what's cooking.
They say I gotta learn
But nobody's gonna teach me
If they can't understand, how can they reach me?
I guess they can't
I guess they won't, I guess they frontin'
That's why I know my life is out of luck, foo!
Been spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Living in a gangsta's paradise
Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the ones we hurt are you and me?
Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the ones we hurt are you and me?

That was about the biggest tune ever in 1995.
-
Kyle manned up with some funny songs in Hiroshima, and then reverted to stalker mode at Karaoke II
-
He must have been more sober at Karaoke II.
I sympathize. Karaoke is really not my scene.

You'd enjoy it over here. For ten bucks I'll keep my pants on.
-
I was listening to NOFX's Wolves in Wolves' Clothing today, and this song (http://www.plyrics.com/lyrics/nofx/coolandunusualpunishment.html) made me think of this thread.
-
I had to tone it down for the Americans
-
Hahaha!
-

You know, I bet I really would. And it would be my honor to pay you to keep your pants on.
-
I'm allergic to dairy.
-
I like karaoke when I'm drunk and people don't take it too seriously. Too many karaoke nights, though, turn into people wanting to try to perform songs properly.
-
I just like to yell a lot.
-
The one and only time i've gone to karaoke some random drunk guy sang detachable penis to me.

It was the best 2 minutes of my life.

i did that song the last time i went to karaoke!

Shit, you coulda told me before the Tokyo Karaoke...
-
Sasha and Tricky already paid me fifteen to take them off. Damn, I could have had a bidding war
-
You refused to get totally naked. That menu was super glued over your crotch area. Tone is down for the Americans? Yea, whatever pussy. Come to Texas and I will show you how we rock n roll. This will have to be without Kyle and Luke of course because they don't roll how I roll.
-
Can I come too?
-
Hell, you can do whatever you want in the comfort of your own home in JAX...
-

I'll work on my trimmed facial hair and strategically angled cap positioning. Should I lay in an extra supply of red plastic cups for this jaunt?
Seriously though, if you guys hadn't been capturing everything on film it would have been wilder. Japanese folk like to go crazy, have a laugh about it after and go to work the next day without having to worry about what may show up online in ten years (or in your case, on FB two weeks later ;)

i just giggled.
fag.
-
I can make things of you (underclass) appear on Facebook, but I'm being nice to you because I want to go back to Japan.
-
Yusuke, Kazu and I were laughing about that Karaoke session last night while drinking schochu and eating chicken feet at Kazu's chinese place. Then I won $100 off them playing cards, but I paid for the chicken feet. Hungover now.
-
I think I have to make a return trip to Japan at Easter...
-
Kazu bought a set of casino games. Last night we finished up with a round of Roulette.
-
You should combine Shochu with roulette... a whole new game
-
Like if you get the number the dealer had to drink 36 shots?
-
yeah... or something

winner gets to fondle this dancing doll, or auction the right to fondle off to Kyle
