Since I was sans TV here for about 2+ months, I've been watching a lot of things online via Hulu, WatchXOnline, BlinkX, CH131, and a lot of others. In the process I've come across OLD TV SHOWS that I used to watch, such as, Emergency! (which is why I became a paramedic, and decided on that or law enforcement by the time I was 5 and never lost that urge, in case you didn't know), CHiPS, Starsky&Hutch, Fraggle Rock, Taxi, and many others ...
I'll be sharing favorite episodes of these, and many others, as time rolls on ...
Here's the first installment; one of my favorite episodes of a TV show; EVER!
Taxi: Reverend Jim A Space Odyssey (where Jim gets his license and becomes a cab driver)
Taxi: Reverend Jim A Space Odyssey 1/3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsRIgRv0L4o#normal)
Feel free to add anything as far as TV episodes, cartoons, commercials, etc to this ...

That's right. I like Top Gear. Jeremy Clarkson is fucking hilarious.

I thought the one with the scooters was one of the funniest ...
-
Yeah, that was pretty good, especially if you like listening to Clarkson while like a little girl for 70% of the show.
The young driver challenge was good too.

Dude, that MADE IT for me ...
hahahaha ....
See if you can link to that episode ...
-
You only saw what little Top Gear I dragged along with me...
Go torrent them, they're all available for D/L.
While we're at it, one of my absolute favourites:
Top Gear - Caravan Road Challenge - BBC (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GZRmzuiig8#normal)
-
there's too much to pick a fav.
and USA dont get UK top gear ? (or he just couldnt be fucked catching it)
oooo wait... the norway(?) challenge... seeing the things race accross the lake... ooo and the space shuttle one was cool too.
the ones where the go up against the army always suck.
-
I watch Top Gear on Dave.
Harry and Paul - Clarkson Island (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMuO-8S_0Wg#normal)

The latter. It's on super-regularly on BBC America.
So I guess I'm the only person who thinks Top Gear seems to have jumped the shark.
-
Jumped the shark? What do you mean?
I dont watch the new stuff, Dave generally only has the repeats.
Harry and Paul-Dragons Den 2-Kitten Stomper (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T13J-A1ATQ#normal)
Harry and paul are amazing though.

The US only gets the watered-down UK Top Gear. Usually they edit out the news, but if the star is no one special in America they edit the star out and leave in the news. Seems both segments are exactly the length stupid adverts take up.
They also change the music from the original UK issue to pure and utter crap for the Americas. Next time the British Leyland challenge is on BBC America, note the song in the background when the boys are beating out "Money" on bits of their cars. It isn't "Money", so it doesn't match what they're doing at all.

I hereby retract my JTS statement. Man, that fucking sucks!

Google knows everything (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumping_the_shark)!

I watch Top Gear on Dave.
umm. ahh. I think im going to pass.

I dont think I have seen a many of the recent eps. So I have no opinion.
oh and I just remember. top gear is moving to a com channel (was abc (think bbc/pbs (ok, a decent pbs)) next year... they wont edit stuff out though.

I actually think Top Gear is getting better as it goes along, which is a big statement. New season starts today in the UK, so by tomorrow evening, I'll have it.

I was basing my opinion on the fact that all I see of it over here is the stupid "car vs donkey" type segments, with the occasional celebrity interview and lap (the bit I like).

Like the one where Hammond drag raced an Aston Martin DB9 against some dumbass on rollerblades with 3 jet engines on his back? Or the one with May racing a guy across a muddy river with a front-drive Alfa Romeo? Ooorrrrr the one with Clarkson using a Citroen C8 as a tripod for filming a dog race?
I watch Top Gear on Dave.

They were going to do an American Top Gear with Adam Corolla as one of the presenters on NBC, but they backed out after filming one episode. If they're showing full episodes on American TV, they'll run over like 15 minutes because Top Gear is 60ish minutes *without* adverts. Sure would rock though if ABC set aside a 75-minute time slot for that!

TopGear totally turned me around on car worship. I couldn't care less 5 years ago. Now I see the attraction.
-
Yeah ...
-
I'd really like a Dacia Sandero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia_Sandero) now...
-
Hmmmm ....
-
I still think it's a crappy Romanian shitbox, but I would've kicked that stupid trucker's ass. Twice.
-
I cant see James May kicking anyones arse. And it's French/Japanese underneath, Dacia is owned by Renault-Nissan.
