Learn to surf. I thought it would be a great clip/pic event. Cant find a place that does it. I know Antigua isnt an outer island but it do have waves. I did find windsurfing and kite surfing though. Not a free activity is the downside.
If im going to Antigua... Im going to Cuba. This would mean my being in the area for longer than a week.
Im in no rush to visit Jamaica.

but it do have waves
'fraid not. There's a group of about 15 surfers here, who get to do what they love best only a handful of times every year, when the conditions are perfect. The beaches here are almost all pretty tame, just gently lapping waves.
-
So like I said... it do have waves.
and given places do learn to windsurf and whatnot, somebody has paid for public liabillity.
Let me dream. You reigon is the only one i havent surfed... yet.
-
somebody has paid for public liabillity.
Ha! Hahaha!
-
How about snorkeling and/or scuba?
-
@Si : ok, fair enough.
How about snorkeling and/or scuba?
I found a bunch of sites for that. Some under the $100 mark.
-
Yeah, that's very doable.
Kitesurfing too, which people seem to love.
-
I have my own snorkeling gear but my PADI cert expired years ago.
-
Last time I snorkeled I almost drowned. Damn you previous two pack a day habit!
-
There's hiking too, which is pretty cool.
To be honest, anyone concerned that there's gonna be nothing but beach-type activities need not worry. There's lots of other shit to do.
-
For anybody flush with cash... the heli tours look rather nice.
-
snorkeling/diving please
-
Lounging and bbqing please... oh and naked beaches.
-
There's only one real nude beach, although you can get away with topless sunbathing at most of them.
-
ANy laws against cameras on that beach ?
-
No, although there are some regulars there who might take exception.

BTW, few more activities to throw out there:
-zip-lines (http://www.antiguarainforest.com)
-Adventure Antigua (circumnav with lots of interesting history and snorkelling and stuff) (http://www.adventureantigua.com/tour.html#Xtreme)
-day trip to Barbuda, our sister island (http://www.antiguaferries.com/)
-
Do they play cricket there in January?
-
The T20 World Cup will be staged in the Caribbean between 30 April and 16 May next year.
