No, she's going to jail for 26 years because she was found guilty of murder by a legitimate court of law in Italy. I don't think nationality had anything to do with it.
And her co-accused, who were also found guilty, are NOT American.
Whether or not she is actually guilty, I cant say, I cant be bothered looking for the case notes.
Now, if they can get GW, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest of them in front of the Hague, that'd be a huge step forward. It'll never happen though.

Which was my point. There is absolutely no forensic evidence to show she was ever even in the room where the other woman was killed. Not one microscopic bit. Now while my assertion that she was found guilty of being in Italy while American was half-joking, from what I've read she was painted in the media as a "violent American drugged up party slut".
You can't convict someone for being in the same building when crime was committed. Or I guess you can...

That's not how the law works. Objective evidence... As if that made much difference ever. She was convicted by a jury of her peers. They were in the courtroom with her. The prosecution's arguments were stronger than the defense's. Welcome to justice.

Some forensic evidence was removed because the 2 of em were bleach cleaning the house and knives and Sollecito's hse too, I believe.
Pretty much every defence claim she had crumbled away cos of mobile phone evidence, forensics, witnesses etc.
I'm sure she'd have been convicted in the US.Def in GB, from what I remember of crim law.
Sollecito should've been banged up for having a Daniel Radcliffe fixation.
