This question was asked on NYE at a party and I saw it again recently, both times asked by Canadians. The answer is simple.

We don't have an adequately functioning republic to make this happen.

That was a pointless case of Tuesday morning quarterback. Current government making sure everyone's aware that they only look bad because of the mess that last bloke left behind. Like anyone in America doesn't know that the wars, the financial crisis and the HIV epidemic isn't Obama's fault.

It's ALL Obama's fault. Right down to when I crashed my car in 2008. That was definately Obama's fault. Even though he wasnt anywhere remotely near me.

There is very little chance of justice ever being served short or real domestic terrorism.
