Title: Ticks
Post by: Zoomie on June 13, 2010, 09:33:57 AM
So I've removed 6 of the little vampires this year, two of them I'm pretty sure I didn't get their heads. They were all the deer tick variety, two were just nymphs. I think I didn't get the heads on those two because they were painful and itchy for a few days after. But I got them all within 24 hours of attachment so there is little chance of Lyme infection. Little chance. But you all know my luck...

The past few days I've had trouble sleeping, had a slight headache, and slight flu-like symptoms. This morning I woke up with joint pain and a sore neck. I think I got it. Going to the doctor tomorrow. This sucks...

That is most unfortunate.  Why are you getting bit by so many ticks?

Boating, hiking, just hanging around outdoors. Deer ticks are horrible this year.

There has been a spider the size of a deck of cards hanging out on my front porch window.  I asked DG Fuerte to kill it today.  Hopefully he did.  It was very scary.

We don't kill spiders, just move them outside.

I loved land surveying for the most part, but the part I don't miss at all is coming home and standing in front of the full-length mirror searching for ticks for 15 minutes every day.

Zoomie, you don't have Lyme disease, you have alcohol withdrawal.
