After this debate Joe Biden needs to become a professional wrestler because BODYSLAM.
I was following bill Maher's tweets during the debate. Some great Gems:
Let's just say it: even in HD, Biden's plugs look pretty good
Ryan's hair is sweating.
Joe is not afraid to interrupt Ryan. Or himself.
This Biden guy is awesome! I hope he keeps that nice sleepy black guy on the ticket!
Hello 9 1 1? There s an old man beating a child on my tv
Biden is hitting in one answer all the things Obama left out in the entire first 90 minute debate
Republicans sure have a point about Benghazi - what kind of clueless incompetent lets Al Qaida attack Americans on Sept 11?
Hello, under Bush: 3000 Americans killed by Al Quada on American soil; under Obama, 4 Americans killed in Libya. Next question.
I hope Obama comes back swinging this hard in the next couple debates.
-
Obama is a shill controlled by the same people that installed bush in office. I'm surprised you seem to think these "debates" are an issue.
Fuck it, no need to get worked up. As I've said before, we won't be voting ourselves out of this.

I was at a bar playing trivia with my mum tonight, so I didn't see the debate. But she was following on fb or something, and pointed out this exact quote to me, and we both laughed our asses off. I can't wait to see the Daily Show/Colbert take on all of this!
-
I can't believe people have such boners for Paul Ryan. He's an idiot. His economic plan is stupid.
But economics is a fucking joke anyway.
-
I laughed my ass off when Ryan said we should be arming the Syrian and Libyan opposition. Yes, let's give Stinger missiles to Muslim militias who will not refuse alignment with the Taliban. Great fuckin' idea.
-
Whatever it takes to make the people go along with sacrificing their children to someone else's agenda.
-
Mike, you were lied to, I was lied to, they lie to everyone in the name of whatever agenda is on the table. And it's still an all volunteer force. Fools want to go shed their blood for BP and Coca Cola, fuckin' let 'em. Less idiots breathing our air. Life ain't that precious to you and you know it ain't that precious to me...

Saw this ad while watching SNL last night. Thought it was one of their fake-commercial-sketches but no, it's real.

Holy crap, that's real?! I don't know whether I think that's really stupid or genius.

Yep all volunteer, for now.
This is a little different facet of you I hadn't seen before.
As a fellow former "volunteer" glad you see it too.

I got two wheels, a dog, a shotgun, a fishing rod and a duffel full of clothes. I can't get a job bussing tables in a tourist town. I had a deal worked out to take over the care of a small farming property in WV and that got screwed by the owner's drug addict kid. You think I give a shit about anybody else's problems? Whatever happens in the oil fields of South Asia and North Africa got nothing to do with me.
-
The Commission on Presidential Debates can eat my ass.

That's hilarious. xD
-
Oh and the commercial is real, CTW has asked the Obama Campaign to drop it, they are taking it under consideration.
-
Oil fields have nothing to do with anyone.
Everything, at this point, is based on people gaming the commodities market and the fact that oil refining capacity didn't expand because everyone in the business knew that a peak was coming. We are somewhere in the vicinity of peak oil right now.
We also, in my opinion, hit peak employment a long time ago. Automation has displaced a lot of jobs. An economic policy that encouraged outsourcing displaced jobs. Some jobs come back, but it's only at the point where you've reduced the vast majority of the labor requirement.
-
Almost all employment today is in service sector jobs, people simply eating other people.
Nothing really solid to base it on.
-
The problem isn't service sector jobs, really, in my opinion. I think the problem is the obsession with growth that plagues modern capitalist cultures.
-
service sector jobs aren't the problem, they are a symptom.
-
How do you monetize just being?
-
Why does everything have to be monetized?
If you move away from a system where money is loaned to the public by private banks for the eventual profit of private shareholders, the need to privatize and monetize everything declines.
Money and economics are nothing more than belief systems. Stronger than Christianity these days, but still founded entirely in belief. There's no inherently true economics. Money carries no inherent value.
At present, it's devolved into mathematic fetishism and a predatory system on par with the excesses of the historic catholic church.
-
I was angling people being content with being alive and able to provide a means for fulfillment with enjoying the very root of life, itself.
