This is typical scaremongering from a Conservative funded and run website that is just playing into the unfounded fears of dipshits who wouldnt know a Muslim from a chimp.

Yeah, I reread that and I agree ...
There's some validity to some of it, however, I think it's a little off-base ...
I actually posted this to see what Tru has to say about it ...

Oh you wanted my opinion huh?
Well I think that should be obvious. I not only feel it should be legal to criticize any religion, BUT I THINK THEY SHOULD ALL BE MADE Illegal! Maybe one of the only things the USSR got right.
Fuck the whole concept of freedom of religion, I say if you are going to legislate anything then legislate freedom from religion.
There you go.

They have each been sentenced to two and a half years in jail.

I told you it's no bullshit ...
... but it's purely, utterly bullshit!

Buddha would never listen to music!

Quick, someone post a pic of Allah!

With headphones on!
Putting these guys in jail for that poster is even more silly than arresting people in the US for making fun of L. Ron Hubbard.
Buddha may have been highly regarded but was just a normal man who lived some 80 years and died like everyone else. I read that some of his remains had been found in an unmarked hole in the ground. Apparently he was cremated and his ashes divided among his family and five kings. The ashes that were found along with a small treasure were believed to have been the portion intended for his family. But don't quote me because it's been a while since I read that story, I don't want to read it now but this page covers some of it.

He was supposedly skinny and frail during his entire life so begs the question of why most of the common Buddha statues like this one

are so damn fat and done in caricature? Wouldn't that be a similar crime under these laws?

That's a good question; actually ...
It's also one I do not have an answer for ...
