I have 19 as if this post;
... 2 Android (7/7.11) Phones
-
Don't need to collect virtual cats. Real ones collect me!
-
Fair nuff ...
I'm surprised you didn't know about this ...
-
I'm kinda surprised too!~
I have an i5 but couldn't get the new sim card activated because it through my old company. Now I could most likely make it work if I trimmed down my old sim card. But my kid gave me a Samsung Galaxy SII, the card fits and it works pretty well. It has some quirks but over all works.
Something I can't understand is it went dead overnight if it wasn't charging, for weeks. So I got 2 new batteries for it and because I was swapping them I left it out of the armored rubber case it had on it and for some reason it fucking stayed charged for two full nights and a full day with the old battery.
That is some weird shit.

Yeah ....
It's with Android 7+ ....
What version is on that one?
-
It has version 4.04 on it.
I suspect the hard case was interfering with the phone being able to do it's hand shake with the tower and it had to boost it's transmit power causing the battery to run down quickly.
-
Some of those cheaper cases were not well thought out ...
I'll have to look up the Easter Egg in Android 4(.04) ...
-
Gopher egg eh. In the os I suppose.
Might be interesting.
-
I have an old tablet with 4.04 in it ....
I retro'd it from 5.0 ...
4.04(ish) is much better ....
-
It still shuts itself off every few days even when mostly charged.
-
Hmmm ....
It could be either a battery setting issue, or someone put a "battery saver/extender" in it
and it's setting are still active somewhere residually in the OS ...
If you did a factory reset on it, did you do it from the boot screen and clear every option individually first?
(Also, was it ever rooted/would you consider rooting it?)
-
I'm pretty sure it has been rooted at some point.
I haven't done anything to it, it was a gift as is.
I have two new batteries for it but haven't had to use them.
They are fully charged. If I have to dash and it fails because of dead battery I have options.
One good thing about these is it's really easy to remove the back and change the battery.

Go on the Play Store and find an app that tells you if it has root ...
If so/not, I can tell you what to do from there ....
