Title: Woohoo
Post by: Tru on August 16, 2019, 06:32:48 PM
I got disabled plates and a placard from DMV today, it makes me feel special.
not only does it allow me to park in the marked blue spaces but also allows me to park in metered street parking without paying for as long as I want, and it allows me to park in time specific parking areas in complete disregard of the imposed time limits. LOL This is gonna be cool.

I suppose it's about time; eh?

It's not like I badly need those convenient spaces, when people clog up the parking lot just sitting and waiting for somebody to back out I say fuck this and park on the other side of the lot and walk. But I'm just surprised at the other privileges that go along with it.

Wow thanks, I wasn't thinking anyone remembered.

I can get a vet plate and special license but I have to find or get a copy of my DD214 first

I've checked into it, I'm going to go to the local Vet Services office and fill out the paper work, I can do it online but it's a bit of a hassle. 4-6 weeks to get the copy back.

Yeah, due to the timeframe of service, it's probably not electronically available at this time ...
Mine wasn't ...

The problem with the online service is they want a signature and so I would have to write down some shit on a blank piece of paper sign it and send it to them through the mail anyway.
My signature is a million times different than it was back then, (looks like Dr scratch now) not sure how much use that would be to them.

Yeah, good point ...
Actually, I think when I did it there was an "e-signature" feature ...
But then again, they change shit like that all the time; who knows?
