I just thought of something else, with his MOS he may have been involved in manufacturing drugs. Perhaps not by choice.

I passed all the entrance exams for the Air Force, but ... shit happens.
Now my childhood friend made it into the Air Force but was summarily discharged for trafficking stolen weapons.

I have a friend I wanted to the army and did a few years and the stockade for whatever reason ... You are trusted with a lot of things there, and I guess there's a lot of temptation ...

I never had to deal with that, I guess; I was in the army and had no issues ...
