On one hand...vanity plates are stupid. Why would I want to make it easy for someone to remember my license plate number? I want my car to be as forgettable as possible - neutral color, no vanity plates, no bumper stickers, nothing hanging anyplace inside. I drive a silver Camry - good luck finding me.
On the other hand, Texas is ridiculous. I can't even imagine how someone would find some of these offensive. And no references to gender, ethnicity, etc. even if it's not offensive or derogatory? I wouldn't expect that restriction in Texas.

Right ...
Some of those shocked me too ...
The last thing that I would do is get a vanity plate that has my name, in any way on it ... I agree with you there ...

I have a mustang horse on the front of my Honda Civic, I guess that's not very anonymous. But at least it's really quiet.
Used to get laugh's but it seems no one notices anymore.

I saw a Gremlin once with a Mack Bulldog on it ...

I would like to get a Jag cat ornament for my hood.
Then I can really be like Philip K Dick with a house full of cats.
Odd reference to one of the old quotes.

Yeah ....
I had a HUGE hood ornament collection in my teens ...
I wish I still had them today; they'd be worth a small fortune ...
